Sporkz are 3 piece electronic noise machine mixing the vocal influence of Iggy Pop, Jim Morrison and Bobby Gillespie with the pounding backline of dance, industrial and breakbeats of the past 2 decades. Sprinkled over the top is the flurry and stab of chorus and distorted brit pop and rock guitars. Hailing from Aberdeen Scotland and often described with marmite affection, you will either become and instant fan or just not believe in the comedic virtue of their globally inspired imagery. With such a diverse range of musical influences, Sporkz have regularly giged around Aberdeen for around 4 years and can pick and choose from a large catalogue of tracks tailoring their sets to a variety of audiences for events such as Celebrate Aberdeen (a weekend of family oriented music festival) to the 2am slot in a packed local nightclub. Currently Sporkz are in the process of recording the follow up to their 2107 'Party Bangers' album. With the Working title 'Massive Rager' the album, 2nd of a 4 part trilogy, will continue the eclectic mix of ear bleeding noise, with less tune than a shovel scraping across concrete, to sedate, etheric thought provoking masterpieces often outstretching local band roots.
