SNAGCAST 004 - SPORTMANN

DJ, Graphic Artist and Motion Designer – with Sportmann, one creative workout follows the next. Born and raised in Lüneburg, he had a soft spot for electronic music from an early age. He has always been in close contact with musicians, producers and collectives, both in private circles and at work.
The foundation stone was laid and with it the interest to DJ himself was not long in coming.
After his first sporting engagements at student parties and in private circles, Sportmann soon progressed to his first club gigs in Hamburg – in renowned locations such as PAL, Südpol and Übel und Gefährlich among others.
Sportmann sees his vocation in transforming the floor into a gym for a short time, to do sports together and to run up to peak performances. With a soundscape characterized by numerous harmonic variations, he tries to hypnotize his audience, to cast a spell over them and send them on a musical journey.

Sportmann – Opening Set live from Tohhnzimmer (May 17th)

Recorded live at Tohhnzimmer on May 17th, this opening set comes from Sportmann – resident DJ at Pan Club Hannover and co-founder of Hamburg’s Snag event series. Known for his dynamic and emotionally driven sound, he sets the tone for the night right from the first beat.

With 4x CDJ 3000s and a Pioneer V10 at the core, the journey begins at 138 BPM and gradually builds to 142 BPM. 

Driven by percussive rhythms and jungle-inspired textures, the set moves through warm, forceful grooves before unfolding into deeper, more emotional territory.

A set that doesn’t just open the night – it shapes it.
