Thank you all for great feedback on this mix, have just hit the 100 download mark a 1st for me, glad you all like it so much. Will publish the tracklist soon, a habit i should get into but sometimes i just ix off the cuff.

This mix was inspired by the book Narcopolis by Jeet Thayil.
The idea was to create a mix that was based around Indian influenced tunes which carries a smooth narcotic otherness about it.
The book is based in 70's Bombay (Mumbai) and deals with the lives of a group of diverse characters that frequent an opium den.

Thanks every one for the massive amount of interest in this mix, it was a mix that i had a very concise idea of how i wanted the mix to feel.

Got to use the rig as my monitors for this mix, I'm usually confined to headphones for the majority of my mixing when I'm at home. 
So to be able to play for 2 hours sat in front of some subs n kicks and play tunes that I'd love to hear on a rig but don't often get the chance to,...... ohh yes and a seat too...... was too great an opportunity to resist.
So here I have to give kudos to the large and small  festivals and promoters and events that still make space for the super chilled big brother to all our electronic dreams. and give it the showcase it deserves. Legends All Of You.!

Soft Rotations Vol 2 - A trip through the many faces of Chillout music. 

Basically I pick a tune from some of the many albums I'm currently immersed in and try and throw them together into an hours worth of sonic soup that will hopefully nourish and satisfy.

Each one is going to be quite different and all depends on what my musical rotations are for that particular month. 
It's looking like roughly a month between editions and I'll try and keep this up for 12 instalments. 

The beginning of this one has quite a contemplative and Autumnal feel to it moving through into dubs and psychedelic sounds and world beats.

Well what a banging and beautiful way to bring in 2025! Thanks to the Ground Up Famalam for an epic night at London's finest intimate underground venue - Unit 58.

What a line up to be a part of Tim Taste - Subios Records headhoncho and Techno aficionado, Greenwolve super psytech funk purveyor, DM Theory the psychedelic techno project of Marcello Baccheschi - dropping some of his finest new bangers, Sam Strutt the enigmatic bad ass beat dropping boss of Mind Boggling Tunes and finally Ground Up residents the amazing rough and tough techno duo of Scatterbrain DJs. 

Not forgetting little ole me opening the evening with a mixed selection of styles that is the openers prerogative. Hypnotic through to full on bangers via wobbles whoomps and acid lines...
What a night - what a crowd and just WTF!! Thanks to everyone who attended, organised and worked the event - it's always a pleasure to participate in beautiful parties like these.

So here's my contribution to the evening.....
Hope you enjoy (let me know if you do!), went on a slightly different trip this time, trying to incorporate all thats great about the alternative electronic scenes, something smooth with added groove, a bit of glitch and a bit of funk, tribal beats and soaring melodies. There's some oldies and newbies mixed in there, just to show that if its a tune...its a tune.
I loved playing it, and watching all you lot with smiley faces popping some damn fine shapes couldn't have made me happier... heartfelt thanks to all of you. x
