A while ago when I was at a motel on my way home, I heard a voice say "time to wake up, Taylor" that boomed and echoed the walls of the room I was in. A while after I got back home, I had always liked Bach's chorale prelude from his Wachet Auf, Ruft Uns Die Stimme, but I became compelled to learn how to play it on the the keyboard. I didn't play the keyboard at the time, so I bought one from a thrift store and started to lean Wachet Auf, by ear, note by note. It wasn't until after I had learned it that I decided to look up what "Wachet Auf, Ruft Uns Die Stimme" means in english. It translates to "awake, the voice is calling us".  That is how I started into making music.

Recorded on my garbage phone, this is what came to mind when I mixed up Eric Clapton's two songs Lay Down Sally and Cocaine. Work in progress.
