Following a string of highly regarded e.p.s on the likes of A&R Edits, Midnight Riot and Ghetto Disco, Twisted Soul Collective set their sights on a label of their own creation. And with an endorsement from rework royalty Greg Wilson, naming TSC’s 2014 ‘Do I Do’ edit one of his top edits from that year, this dynamic collective clearly has the goods to produce something special.

For this inaugural release, ‘Love At Zero Hour’, they’ve teamed up with Savannah – one of Greece’s golden boy producers – to construct a sparkling edit encapsulating that joyous 80’s disco glitz and glam. Sprinkled with sensuous strings, staccato guitars and sultry vocals, loving touches weave their way through the edit. Reverberating echoes and filtered breakdowns are interlaced to expert effect, creating a level of suspense and vibrancy sure to whip any crowd into raptures.

First up on remix duties, Edinburgh’s Natasha Kitty Katt who’s released on the likes of Masterworks Music and Ghetto Disco, styles her re-edit into a summertime disco house stomper, coupling a weighty kick, sweeping vocal snippets and killer synth loops with a bumping no nonsense bassline. Think, turbo charged cocktail of heavenly goodness, with a healthy shot of unadulterated thump.

Finally, Liverpool Disco Festival founder James Morgan and top Liverpool Producer John Dean AKA THE BUMPMEN who certainly knows a thing or two about top-tier disco, offers up a cosmic of ‘Love At Zero Hour’, bouncing those vocals off into distant galaxies whilst resonating shimmery arps, a full frontal bass riff and luscious guitar licks around the far reaches of the brain. Hold tight for that steamy synth breakdown – a brilliant touch that elevates this edit into the disco stratosphere.

If this is what love sounds like at zero hours, just think what Twisted Soul Collective will have dreamt up in time to come.
