Chouchou's Suite is a suite for solo bassoon that wrote for Vincent Disantis, who is a great bassoonist and my colleague in Cleveland Institute of Music. The piece was written in July 2015. 
This suite is inspired by my lovely cat ChouChou’s life moments. It has five short  movements. Each of the movements reflects a scene of ChouChou’s cat life. In general, the suite is full of humor and love from a cat person.

Program Notes:
When I moved to Cincinnati, the length of time to visit home (Central Pennsylvania) increased enough to make flying a much more convenient option. The first of these trips was to visit old friends from my alma mater in West Chester, near Philadelphia. My flight there was rather early in the morning, and luckily there was minimal cloud cover and a very bright sun with us that morning, and as the plane gained altitude the fragmentary landscape of Ohio unfolded beneath us. I was taken aback by what I saw – the landscape was outlined with lines of trees or changing vegetation, and the fields they bordered shimmered with the morning sun. This stretched in every direction to the horizon, and this awesome sight instantly compelled a musical response. A bright polychord in the upper register of the piano imitates this shimmering effect, and cadenza-like responses from the other three instruments comment on the angular, blinding colors radiating from this chord. The piece develops by deconstructing the presented elements, given further depth by the addition of literal bird calls (as opposed to Messiaen’s transcriptions).
		I will always love my native state, but Ohio still has beautiful surprises to unfold.

In the climactic season finale, Time and the Tims set out to rescue Tim Prime from Kim and the Lizard lawyers, while Karen helps Jill escape from the dream chamber. Lost in downtown Detroit, Brad and Randy are at odds whether they should prank Mark, but in the end, they do. On Tool Time, Lisa has more than two scenes and a familiar face returns for one final showdown...
