Just returning now from a glorious time playing in Copenhagen, and meeting up with drummer Anton Jonsson in Goteberg Sweden and then clarinetist Andreas Roysum in Oslo. When I came back from Europe in 1983 people said my music had changed. Not so much now, but still it felt different -- this is an excerpt.

Minimally Disturbed

This is a short slice of Roughhousing--Jack Wright, saxes; Evan Lipson, double bass; Zach Darrup, guitar--at the Pied Nu Festival, March 2019, in Le Havre France. Beginning at the beginning, it ends abruptly. We went on from there to Paris, an invasion of Finland, and a brief foray into Copenhagen, where Evan and Jack were already "established figures."

Here's what Ron Stabinsky (pictured) and Jack Wright did, piano and alto sax respectively, one august afternoon 2018. One version of their playing which differs from every other one, since the duo is in competition for the "Most Inconsistent Genre Imitation" award.
