With another versatile and impressive four track EP, Dutch techmeister Stephen J. Kroos again proves that quantity and quality can go hand in hand.

Chosen to open James Grant’s ‘Anjunadeep:03’ disc, the first track ‘Micrsh’ is an ocean’s deep tech-house masterpiece that operates at the deeper end of the label’s spectrum. A journey through glistening shimmers and beautiful bass chasms, ‘Micrsh’ lulls the listener into its dreamy groove before tweaking their consciousness with subtle shifts in its rhythmic matrix.  

Adding a deep melodic touch, ‘When Autumn Comes’ takes things closer to the sound of classic Detroit techno with its warm pads and clean analogue synth melodies.   

Upping the tempo slightly, ‘Encode’ is a hypnotic tech-houser with a cheeky bump and plenty of twists and turns - including a curveball uplifting breakdown. 

Impressive finale ‘Safe Radiation’ sees the Dutchman in more melodic mood still, thanks to a hypnotic, unwinding synth-line that gradually works its way through the track in an epic, ambitious arrangement.

CC Premieres: Dave Seaman - Inflammable Contraband (Anido Remix) [Selador]

After previous musical encounters – when Rafa’EL enchanted listeners with his
single “Elderose” on Magic Stories Records, and Mazze gave it a new
dimension with his exceptional remix – the artists decided to take things a step
further. This time, they joined forces to create a collaborative project: “Liminal
Glow EP”.

The three tracks – Liminal Glow, Echo Bloom, and Coastline – are a journey
through the realms of Melodic Deep and Organic House. Filled with heartfelt
melodies and delicate harmonies, they intertwine with a groove that moves
both body and soul. Each track carries a sense of nostalgia while radiating
fresh energy – crafting a story that touches the heart while inviting you to the
dancefloor.

Somewhere back in the mists of time, most likely involving the odd papal decree, some dodgy calculations about how long it takes the earth to do a trip round the sun, and a nerdy historian or two wanting to find a way to compartmentalise the eras they were documenting, the concept of decades and centuries entered the public consciousness.

What with folk across the ages always looking for an excuse to party, they became something to celebrate, both the longevity of the milestone attained, and the excitement about what was to follow.

In the notoriously fast-moving world of music, such longevity can be hard to find, especially in an era of short attention spans and soundbite culture. It thus only seems right and proper to hail Dave Seaman, Steve Parry and their Selador imprint for reaching its 200th release (the 200 actually encapsulates a whopping 796 tunes and mixes in total, fact fans).

To put that into some sort of context, that’s way more music than the two previous era-defining labels Dave was involved with, Stress in the 90s and Audio Therapy in the 00s, combined. The 12 years Steve has spent co-helming Selador eclipses the time he spent front and centre at the legendarily influential 3 Beat store. All this at a time when the music marketplace has never been more saturated or harder to navigate in the quest to gain visibility for music you believe in.

Steve and Dave don’t need to do this. Both well into their fourth decade in the acid house trenches, each possesses an impressive CV, and is not short of work. But nothing drives these two electronic music titans more than the search for new music, the buzz of hearing something special for the first time, and the hunger to help bring it into the world, nurture its development, and share it with as many like-minded souls as possible.
Selador has proved to be a significant player in terms of sourcing and developing new talent in the arena they dub “house, techno and all flavours in between”, as is shown across those 200 releases. It has also proved to be a trusty vehicle for Steve and Dave to release many of their own productions, the benchmark set by their peers on the label roster driving the duo to ever greater heights.

It is thus fitting that the 200th Release Project features 12 brand new and exclusive remixes courtesy of friends old and new, all of whom have reworked some of the bosses’ classic productions.

Spread across three thrilling 4 track EPs released throughout August 2025, this celebratory collection brings together an array of talent from around the world covering a multitude of genres within the Electronic Club Music realm.

In short, it’s what Selador has been doing from releases 1 to 199, with added birthday vim and vigour. Savour and enjoy.

Tronic has a 20-30 year long history with releasing melodic house and techno. While we opted for the more raw sound in the past few years, Christian wanted to go back to his roots and produce more emotive, groovy, and melodic house and techno again. Lamour Toujours is a progressive groover that has a disco-influenced bassline and adds an emotive chord progression in the break. We asked Argentinean legend Hernan Cattaneo to make a remix. As a long time supporter of Tronic we felt that he would be a great candidate for this remix. Hernan Cattaneo and Kevin Di Serna teamed up and delivered a stunning remix focusing on the melodic chord progression of the original! To finish this release, we asked Tokyo-based Frenchman Vantage to give his New Disco touch to the track. We are very proud of this release and hope you support it!

First new release on Spring Tube Liquid in 2019, and the 21st outing on this our imprint in general, sees the second and a final single for the tracks from Stephen J. Kroos' latest album "Biphasic Response" which saw the light with us exactly a year back.

After presenting the first single ("Perception" w/ remixes by Rick Tedesco and Senza Tempo) six month back now we're ready with the second one, it's on the track "Phenomenology". Besides the gorgeous Stephen's original version this single includes two different great remixes from some of Spring Tube Liquid' finest residents - Richard Butler, and Robin Taylor aka Subalpine.

Stephen J. Kroos’ last track ‘Mnenosyne’ picked up radio support from techno baron Dave Clarke (the White Noise show on Holland’s 3FM) and DJ plays from James Zabiela and Laurent Garnier. On the ‘Reperfusion EP’, Anjunadeep’s techno master Stephen J Kroos continues his stunning return to form with another four track hit of bittersweet rhythmic trickery. 

Both deeply trippy and highly technical, lead track ‘Reperfusion’ is a subtle but stirring 7 ½ minute techno epic that lulls you in with its atmospheric female vocal husks and a throbbing, beautifully textured groove. 

Intricately constructed, ‘Angiogenesis’ is a slightly more dramatic, string-led affair with a poignant breakdown, while ‘Ubiquitination’ draws on deep house vibes to create a low burning groove full of jacks, tweaks and bounces.  So deep you’d need a ladder to climb back out of it, the hypnotic ‘Inflammation’ completes the package.
