The much anticipated "Layers Of Meaning' album from Brazilian label favourite Felipe Novaes arrives on D-Nox's much loved Sprout label.

His music has graced Univack, Clubsonica, ICONYC and more, this talented DJ and producer is rising through the ranks, and with several releases under his belt for this German imprint already, the time was right for Felipe to showcase 12 gems as his new album project.

We are given a sneek peak with this album sampler, as 4 gems are sparkling brightly for you right here.

The title track 'Layers Of Meaning' oozes warmth and dreamy tinge, but is punchy and full of a smiley energy emanating from within. Big stuff!

Teaming up with Nine One for 'Scent Of A Memory', this gem picks up the pace, and brings a melodic and melancholic dramatic flavour, as this peak time club 'moment' really tugs at your heart strings. Seemingly ever building, this is a large one!

Next up we are delivered in to a 'Void' as this spacious a deep chuggy winner, packs a mean punch! hazy goodness!

Tasty electronica vibes to round off this sampler, as 'The Enlightenment' fuses deep and dramatic vibes with a pitched down, yet still dance floor friendly piece of coolness.

The love for music stems far beyond the time spent within Australia's music scene, deeply rooted within his upbringing, Bongani's ancestral Zulu background of culture through expression, in dance, in art & in music is an important aspect of why he has been able to shine so bright within our scene.

With his music also gracing Interfonic, Ugenius, Alula Tunes and of course Recovery Collective, he makes his debut here on the mighty Sprout with two absolute gems. Kicking off with the EP's title track 'Komodo', it's very typically cool of this Australian sound thats dominating many DJs sets around the Globe currently. Fresh and pacey, shrouded in emotion and melodics, but packing an underlying punch, and here with additional slight wonkiness for that extra bit of trippiness.

the second track 'Cherry Blossom' delivers emotions in abundance! Big bass wrapping you in a blanket of happiness, and then being sprinkled with dreamy and uplifting melodies and riffs, melting wonderfully like a great big dance floor hug.

Label favourite Cream return with Enuko, a rounded and deep but energetic number, fusing dark with light for maximum impact.

The title track is a shuffling slab of dirtiness, trippy vocal snippets, warm sounds interspersed, and a whole lot of groove. The breakdown is an infectious and hypnotic workout, intensifying and vibing throughout, before locking you back in to its groove. Subtly cool.

the remix comes from Dabeat & Kamilo Sanclemente, who use just about everything from the original, but phatten things up, adding a gnarly vibe to proceedings, for some peak time mind melting.. and then the arp lands too, taking you in to hyperspace!

Providing the latest floor-shaking masterpiece for Sprout is popular label artist Gabe, who has no doubt earned his place as one of the most talked about and in-demand producers in the underground electronic scene over the last two years.  With an ever-growing list of releases and remixes to his credit, the São Paolo native has become known for his ability to infuse a commanding sense of groove into a dense tech-dominated framework.  His flair for crafting thickly enveloping tech leviathans takes a route into new territories with “Tudo Vem”, a soul-filled departure from the familiar, a track so distinctive that it demands to stand alone as its own EP.

Forming the basis of the “Tudo Vem” around samples taken from popular Brazilian body-music band Barbatuques, Gabe has concocted a stunning piece which pulls every limb into motion with its organic rhythms, lyrical chants and intonated melodies.  The concept and impact of the track is perhaps best described in the artist’s own words:

“I have to confess that after 10 years producing music I felt something that I never felt before. I really don’t know what happened but it was really touching me in a really special & different way.  All of the sounds are made with the body and its full of details so in good headphones is really possible to understand everything from the mouth whispers, talking and singing. My idea is to keep this project with body music because it is so organic, so fun and smooth to listen to.”

The talented Brazilian DJ and producer Nine One returns to Sprout with Rainforest, a great release also featuring Black Seed, and a wonderful remix from Stan Kolev.

The title track fuses dark and light, as this powerhouse drives along, yet full of emotive layers, but darker twists. the energy flows alongside its key changing and atmospheric flavours. The beautiful breakdown adds another slice of dreaminess before returning to its full glory for a peak time dance floor moment.

'Black Seed' is a great chunk of melodic techno, with its bubbling bass, its dirty twists and turns and acidic hints, while the melodics glisten through adding further texture.

Rounding things off Stan Kolev remixes Rainforest. His work has graced The Soundgarden, UV, Outta Limits and Bonzai, and was the ideal candidate to work his magic. Utilising the melodics from the original, but bringing oput the energy even more, this rework is a thing of beauty for the dance floor.
