1994 class, approaches music in his lately high school years, buying his first turntables and starting collect records. Couple of years later takes his first steps in production, cooking his firsts beats with an 'old but gold' MPC 2kxl. Over time his musical taste has grown from 90's rap and RnB to Chicago house and Detroit techno, to jazz, funk, latin, soul music and to all that contains a message to understand. Also his production range went ahead with new ideas and new gear and moving to Lisbon for a year of studies marks his international debut in deejaying. Still on the evolution process he thinks that music, art and culture must move and follow what happens on earth in order to be always on point.

Classe 1994, si approccia alla musica negli ultimi anni di scuola superiore grazie al turntablism e all'acquisto dei suoi giradischi. Il crescente interesse per questo mondo e la passione per il collezionismo discografico lo portano, poco dopo, a muovere i passi anche nell'ambito della produzione, mettendo insieme le sue prime idee dentro un campionatore. Gli anni, l'esperienza e i nuovi mezzi consentono la sua crescita artistica mentre il trasferimento a Lisbona per un anno di studi segna il suo debutto internazionale nel deejaying. Forte sostenitore del concetto di evoluzione, crede che la musica, l'arte e la cultura debbano trasformarsi e rinnovarsi costantemente, al fine di risultare sempre attuali.

Il suo percorso formativo inizia all'età di 16 anni, quando scopre di avere una passione viscerale per il vinile che inizia a collezionare sin dal 94 e che poi si diverte a miscelare durante le feste di amici. Nel 1997, entra a far parte del progetto Virus. Nel frattempo si diverte a condurre programmi in diretta con cadenza giornaliera in alcune radio locali, proponendo House e Garage.
Nel 2000, si allontana dal Dancefloor per avvicinarsi all'Acid Jazz, ad allacciarsi alla Bossa Nova e alla Break Beat. I suoi set, saranno dunque una miscela di questi tre generi che gli permetteranno di esprimersi in libertà fino al 2006.
Nel 2007, riabbraccia quelle sonorità che lo avevano avvicinato alla musica nei tempi acerbi - come funk e, soprattutto, Disco.
Da alcuni anni, propone House Acid e Disco facendone il suo vessillo, grazie anche ad un gioco di contaminazione e fusione di stili che lo rendono capace di contraddistinguersi uscendo dai rigidi stilemi del momento. Oggi collabora con i migliori locali della riviera abruzzese, con lo spazio artistico di Ultrastudio ed è coofondatore e ideatore del progetto Riviera Dancing, alternandosi tra dj set e sessioni in studio, utilizzando per lo più macchine analogiche.

Mat Chiavaroli is a producer and dj born and raised in central Italy.

He inherithed from his grandpa, a turntable and jukebox repairman, a deep passion for 

record collecting and playing; at the age of 6 Mat was brought for the first time in the 

family bunker, where he found his grandfather's forgotten treasure. There he started crafting 

his own musical taste. Still today that bunker is the place where Mat produces his music, building

up a peculiar sound that melts jazz, funk, soul flowing into a kind of house music saturated 

with organic elements.

Since 2011 Mat has released a number of 12"s on such respectable labels as Kinda Soul, No More Hits and

Quintessentials.

His music has been supported and played by great djs in the game, danced in some of the best 

clubs in the world.

Last May Mat Chiavaroli's first 2xLP album,

No Stranger To Madness, has been released on Quintessentials imprint; here our boy from Pescara collaborates with both

local fresh talents and old studio fellows. The album received solid feedbacks for its versatility and playability. 

As a dj, Mat plays the music he feels for the moment; no matter the genre, no fiters in the choice. He creates a texture 

of sounds made by various elements, resulting in a harmonic flutter into many shades of dance music.

We are not only talking about eclectic taste or mixing mastery. We are talking about a continuous flow of emotions

through the dancefloor.
