◆『WORKERS』アルバム紹介

ポストクラシカル/エレクトロニカ・ユニットMOTORO FAAMの中心メンバーで、アートユニットmooor、Yui OnoderaとのユニットReshaftなど、00年代から様々なプロジェクトで楽曲制作を手掛けてきたRyuta Mizkamiが2013年から始め、これまでにデジタル・リリースで3作のアルバムを発表したソロ・プロジェクトMulllrのフィジカルでは初となる通算4作目のアルバム。

分断・分裂を繰り返す複雑で鋭いビート、空間に張り巡らせた多種多様なノイズ、不規則に行き交う記号的な電子音などが多彩に散りばめられコラージュのように構築された、緻密で独創的なエレクトロニック・ミュージックに昇華され、アンビエント色の強かったこれまでの作品よりも、本作ではブレイク・コア、インダストリアル、リズミック・ノイズなどのテイストも感じさせる、ビートとノイズを主体にした楽曲を中心に制作されている。

混沌としたエクスペリメンタルなサウンドでありながらも、エモーショナルなグルーヴ感も溢れる、秀逸なバランス感覚を持ってコンセプチュアルな世界が鮮やかに表現された濃密なアルバムに仕上がっている。

日本で活動するRyuta Mizkamiによるソロ・プロジェクト、2013年発足。Ambient、Noise、サウンドコラージュを基調として電子音楽を様々な名義で制作している。初のフィジカルとなる通算4作目の『WORKERS』を日本のPROGRESSIVE FOrM、オーストリアのcomfortzoneのダブルレーベルより2015年冬にリリース。
Ryuta Mizkamiは、2000年代前半よりポストクラシカル/エレクトロニカユニットMOTORO FAAMを主催。渋谷WOMBのパーティー"Epsilon"へレギュラー出演。2005年よりスタジオワーク中心の活動へシフトし、2006年、デビュー作となる1st AlbumをベルギーのU-cover、2nd Albumを日本のPrecoよりリリース。また様々なコンテンポラリーダンサーへの舞台楽曲の提供や、様々なコンピレーションへの参加、サウンドデザイン制作等を行う。翌2008年より、作曲家/写真家Noozoomとのアートユニットmooorを発足。フランス大使館で行われたイベントNO MAN'S LAND @ Ambassade de France au Japonにて、Shotaro Yoshinoのインスタレーション作品"Draw the ground history"に音楽で参加。その他ファッションブランドや広告へ音楽提供。2010年には 1st『Elmer and Elsie』をリリース。2013年より初のソロとなるMulllr名義にてこれまでにデジタル・リリースで3作のアルバムを発表、チェコ出身のプロデューサーUKinEKとの共作EPを立て続けにリリース。また2014年秋にはCRITICAL PATHを主催するYui OnoderaとのプロジェクトReshaftにてオーストリアのcomfortzoneより1st Album『DECON』をリリースする。
