What you are about to hear is not just any sunrise DJ set, but the farewell sunrise DJ set for a community I love and hold dear to my heart: NotaSexParty (aka NASP). 

It is also not a DJ set for just any random crowd, but rather a curation of humans that always inspire me to be my best self. Therefore, it is not a coincidence; in my humble opinion, that perhaps this is one of the best DJ sets I have woven in front of a live audience in my 20+ years of DJ craft. No detail was spared on every transition, every choice of track

On the crowd side of things it was no less epic. 

There were some people’s first time crowd surfing while The Beatle’s “Hey Jude” played as our second to last anthem as the sun FINALLY came out on our last day of camp. There was a giant circle of human chain of friends shoulder-dancing to LCD Soundsystem’s anthem “All my Friends” while we screamed/sang the lyrics from the top of our lungs. 

There was also an epic crowd sit-down right before all of this and before we slowed down our heart beats to a soft stop in unison… 

I only went there (to all of those places) because the crowd made me feel comfortable enough to do so.

It was the perfect storm of “epic-ness”. When I listened to it for the first time since performance, I realized that the musical story told here was a 2.75-hr long continuous anthem, one where I couldn’t believe we had another 40 minutes of high dance floor energy, and so I had to stop for a moment and ask for consent to keep going down “the (musical) rabbit hole”.

We danced, we laughed, we cried, we sweated, we loved, we jumped, we stomped, we screamed, we head-banged, we sang, we drummed (with Noah - @noahappel - love you brother) like a defiant crew of rebellious circus hippies in a magical co-created land… on a fucking Monday morning. 

No one could stop us. 

It was pure electronic dance music- sunrise Rock n’ Roll.
We were all in this together, we did this together.

I was able to recover this lost recorded set that I played at the magical mezcal amores experience in the middle of the agave fields in Mitla, Oaxaca. This mix lost the first 45 minutes of my entire session, but you can listen to most of it. I was the first artist to play, opening a really hot night of track selection. first weekend of March 2022

Words from the Artist @wearechambord: When the Flow Sessions team asked us to make a podcast of 3:33:33 secs, we accepted straight away! It’s quite unique to do a long podcast when all tracks have an importance and a special place in the set. The goal behind this journey was to create a glimpse of what a night with us might entail. We brought grooves, energy and different moods in this unique session. Hope you will enjoy the ride as much as we loved making it ;)

With a unique and special identity, Chambord’s exhilarating eclectic energy and charged live shows quickly earned them a reputation as one of the most exciting acts to emerge from the Parisian music scene. Flow Sessions 084 - Chambord

As the sky lightened up behind the DJ booth and the sun rays came through the forest, Borak took La Familia community to an even more magical journey that spanned decades of music.   

His broad spectrum of tunes and selection of beats kept the crowd moving and the smiles coming. Friends would simply look at each other, look at Borak and nod in agreement that this is just pure magic. The funky electro beats, the 70s disco and the various oriental / eastern motifs engaged the crowd and provided an immense listening pleasure. The Afro house towards the end was the culmination of the mystical and spiritual journey experience.   

We hope that this set will bring you back to the whimsical forest of the Lost City on that wonderful Sunday morning.

Lost City Sunrise 02 // Borak

6:30 AM Wednesday Morning: For our first sunrise on EDEN, we welcomed 3 incredible ambassadors of sound. Mateo, Eli and Chocokhan graced us with a beautiful B3B. This dynamic voyage of sound has all the hallmarks of a great sunrise burning man DJ set, with chugging bass lines, power drums, and epic synth beds woven together, connecting all sides of the emotional spectrum. These 3 wizards take us from warrior march to happy tears, all in 2 1/2 nonstop hours. This crew really leaned into our brand new sound, and piloted the decks on EDEN masterfully. Turn this up to 11 and join us back on the Playa.   

Join us in welcoming Mateo, Eli and Chocokhan into our musical family. Show them some love and send them a big, dusty burner hug.

B3B: MATEO, ELI, CHOCOKHAN - Sunrise on SPARKY & EDEN - Burning Man 2022

Thanks to a beautiful twist in time, we welcomed Unders to close The Seekers of Light ADE '22 showcase on the Saturday Day Event. This closing slot was initially meant for Viken Arman, but as it happen our Viken missed his plane. The upside of hosting events during ADE is that you likely find a replacement that you love and adore.

IN COMES UNDERS! He was on his way out after successfully hosting his own showcase on Thursday, but lucky us we managed to snatch him before he left.

A magnificent set followed! The element of surprise in this last minute performance carried out throughout his performance and he managed to take us on the perfect journey.

Perhaps his best performance in our Babylon up to this date.. What do you think?
