djjuliimmaï‘s musical style is as capricious and diverse as life itself. Variations of house and minimalism
blend smoothly with ritualistic music from around
the globe. His DEEP HYPNOTIC SOUNDS mesmerize crowds, turning the dance floor into a spiritual
place. The element of hypnosis is key in Juli‘s idea
and performance of electronic music.

Born 1982 in Lübeck, serendipitously on the day of
a massive city festival, it didn‘t take very long for Juli
to become a resident DJ at the Lübecker Eishaus Club
at the age of 18. After moving to Berlin in 2006, he
was deeply inspired by a then rapidly evolving techno
scene. Heavily influenced by the famous Bar 25 and
the Fusion Festival,
djjuliimmaï took his experience to Freiburg, then running the White Rabbit Club. From there, in 2016, the record-spinning hypnotist launched his own series of
club & festival events:

(Story continued from witchtape #44)

The first day of spring started with a glorious sunrise, with all the birds singing their most beautiful songs and flowers of all colors blooming all over the forest.  It was hard to believe that this place was still covered under a thick snow carpet a mere 12 hours earlier.  The sunrays revitalized all the animals with fresh energy, and the - usually quiet - woods became filled with a chaotic bustle of birds frenetically building nests everywhere, rabbits digging new holes in the ground and owls searching for the most suitable hollow trees, while the air filled with a subtle mixture of fresh flower scents.  After a long and cold winter, spring had finally arrived… with a bang.
The witch and wizard were completely oblivious of this frenzy as they were simply enjoying each other’s company while relaxing on the soft moss, hiding in plain sight from all the forest beings who were way too busy to pay any attention to the happy couple, who had been reunited after an 8-month separation during the wizard’s epic pilgrimage to the land of his ancestors on the African continent.  The only animals who were keeping them company, were the snails - who happened to be on the way to their spring residence near the little stream which they could hear already, which meant they would reach it in 4 weeks’ time.  
Both witch and wizard were in a completely relaxed mood, while they snuggled a bit closer to one another, listening to each other’s heartbeat.  At one point the wizard noticed a pulsating pink light deep inside the girl’s chest, and he realized he was looking at her witch’s heart.  Although he already had witnessed many things in his long life, he had never seen such a purity before.  And right at that moment, his own heart became visible as well as a reddish-pinkish pulsating glow through his dark skin.  Even the snails interrupted their annual dash to the little stream and looked in amazement at this colorful spectacle.  Instinctively, the wise wizard laid his hand on the witch’s belly, where his fingers soon intertwined with the slender fingers of the witch.  They stayed in that position for quite a while, until all of a sudden something magical happened… a very faint and fast pulse started to light up through the pale white skin of the witch’s underbelly… with an unique shade of pink which the world had never seen before.  The snails stretched their antennae to the limit, just to make sure they had seen right.  And yes, soon they were smiling at each other and hurried to the little stream so that they could announce the great news to all the other animals of the forest without wasting a second.
Which meant the witch could keep her little secret to herself for yet another four weeks…

Die heutige Sonntagsausgabe von KataHaifisch gleicht einer Geschichte aus „Tausendundeine Nacht“. Dieses Abenteuer, welches uns durch die verschiedenen Facetten Asiens geleitet, beginnt in einem spärlich besiedelten Wüstendorf. Über unseren Köpfen schwingen sich breitschultrige Adler durch die staubigen Lüfte, die Dorfbewohner und ihre Behausungen sind in Gewürzduft gehüllt. 
Die Reise führt uns weiter in das Herz der Wüste. Dort sind die Nächte kühl und Sternenklar, am Tag brennt die Sonne auf alle Lebewesen herunter und zwingt zur kollektiven Schattenflucht. In den versteckten Oasen hingegen sprudelt das Leben. Die unterschiedlichsten Pflanzen und Tiere haben es sich in den lebensbejahenden Refugien bequem gemacht. Insekten huschen über den begrünten Boden und einheimische Vögel zwitschern leiblich im Kanon.
Von dem Quell des Lebens geht es in die Berge. Bienenstöcke siedeln an den Hängen und die Menschen führen ein einfaches und bescheidenes Dasein. Man reicht uns frisches Wasser und Obst. Abends sitzen wir dann alle gemeinsam ums Feuer und lauschen Liedern über Katastrophen, Heldentaten und die anschließende Versöhnung.

Witchtape #77 | Guest Wizz : Aka-Tony

The little witch woke up in the middle of the night.  This was quite unusual, as she is generally a very good sleeper, so she was wondering what woke her up.  Maybe it was the near-full moon which lit up the whole forest with a soft glow.  In any case it was definitely not her unborn baby as she sensed no motion inside her womb (she was at that time 19 months pregnant, which is about halfway for witches).  But then it dawned to her that her womb was feeling just a bit too empty.  She didn’t panic as baby witches are known to experience ‘out-of-womb’ experiences every now and then.  The young woman stood up and started walking through the moon-lit forest, just following her inner compass.  When she reached a little lake, her heart suddenly skipped a beat as she saw a little girl in an immaculately white dress walking on the water.  This could only be her unborn daughter.  After having a closer look it appeared the child was standing calmly on the leaves of the water lilies.  The little witch couldn’t see the face of the child, but she was impressed by her confident way of moving … and by her long, slightly curly long black hair, reflecting her unique roots, combining the beech forests of North-West Europe with the African rainforest.  
It appeared the child was fascinated by the bright reflection of the moon on the surface of the lake.  To her amazement, the reflection was moving like a searchlight in a circle around the girl, defying more than a few laws of physics and making the girl giggle.  The frisky girl was trying to catch the reflection, and visibly the moon was playing a game of hide and seek with her.  Magically, all white lily flowers opened their petals from the moment the moonlight hit them, while lots of curious fish were watching the spectacle from below.
Then, all of a sudden the reflection left the water surface and shone directly on the girl, like a spotlight.  The tiny witch looked completely spellbound and started to glow from top to toe in her little white dress.  The soon-to-be-born witch was obviously a moon child, filling her mother’s heart with pride.  
At that moment, the soon-to-be-mom witch thought it was appropriate to leave the child and moon alone and returned to her sleeping den under the giant oak tree, where she quickly drifted away in a blissful sleep, only to be woken up just before sunrise by some kicking movements inside her womb … visibly the baby witch had ended her out-of-womb excursion and returned to the safety of her mom’s belly.  Soon the birds would start singing to announce the start of yet another marvelous day in the witch’s forest …
