It was Dancefestopia last year (2024) that started this crazy passion. I saw a 12 year old chop riddim so effortlessly and I was hooked. I bought my first DJ controller, downloaded my first DAW, downloaded my first synth plugin, and I started grinding. 

So yeah, it hasn't been long since I started mixing and producing, but the amount of time I've put into learning and committing to this beautiful hobby, is out of this world. Every single day I'd get off work and INSTANTLY hop on Vital, and start making crazy ass sounds. I knew I had to use more than just samples, I wanted to craft my own sound, and stand out from everyone else. Mixing came so easy to me, and learning more and more about producing and sound design keeps me going. TRUST ME I've got a lot to learn on the producing end of things, but my background in music has given me a crazy jumpstart into the scene.

It was only three months ago I played my first real set, Dancefestopia's Yellow Brick Road Tour, in my town, Ames, IA. WOW it was a wonderful debut, and because of that performance, I gained traction from local promoters around the area. Since then I've played at a show for Nocturnal Pulse in Waterloo, IA. I've performed here in Ames again with Basswave Entertainment. I've even been in contact with Eclipse Entertainment to play even more shows in and out of the state. I've played plenty of after parties, hosted private events, and have been endorsed heavily from other local DJs.

Kalla is for those who love the dark, eerie, and evil riddim sound, alongside the heaviest distorted tearout you've ever heard. But I do like to curate my sets to be an enjoyable experience for everyone. I think everyone deserves some time to breathe during riddim sets, and I love keeping everyone on their toes, you're never gonna know what's coming. Don't worry it's not all dark and scary the whole time!!! You'll definitely find your fair share of some classic girly pop music too :P
I think DJing this festival would be the craziest experience EVER, after going to Iowa State I feel like it would just be fitting to have my festival debut in the state where it all started!
