There was an instance when Sri Krishna Ji surprised Vidura Ji by knocking at their doorstep. On the same day, Duryodhana kept waiting at his home for Sri Krishna Ji. But Sri Krishna Ji accepted banana peel as food from Vidura Ji and refused to go to Dhuryodhana’s home where the sumptuous meal was specially prepared for Krishan Ji Maharaj. 

Moral:- Sri Akaal Purakh Swami Ji looks for love inside his/her Sikh. The Lord needs loving devotion and nothing else.

Vidur and Duryodhan  

ਆਇਆ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਬਿਦਰ ਦੇ ਬੋਲੈ ਦੁਰਜੋਧਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਰੁਖਾ।
Hearing that Lord Krishan was served and stayed over at humble Bidar's home, Duryodhan remarked sarcastically.

ਘਰਿ ਅਸਾਡੇ ਛਡਿ ਕੈ ਗੋਲੇ ਦੇ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਕਿ ਸੁਖਾ।
Leaving our grand palaces, how much happiness and comfort did you attain in the home of a servant?

ਭੀਖਮੁ ਦੋਣਾ ਕਰਣ ਤਜਿ ਸਭਾ ਸੀਗਾਰ ਵਡੇ ਮਾਨੁਖਾ।
You gave up even Bhikhaum, Dohna and Karan who are recognised as great men who are adorned in all courts.

ਝੁੰਗੀ ਜਾਇ ਵਲਾਇਓਨੁ ਸਭਨਾ ਦੇ ਜੀਅ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਧੁਖਾ।
We have all been anguished to find that you have lived in a hut”.

ਹਸਿ ਬੋਲੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਜੀ ਸੁਣਿਹੋ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੋਇ ਸਨਮੁਖਾ।
Then smilingly, Lord Krishan asked the King to come forward and to listen carefully.

ਤੇਰੇ ਭਾਉ ਨ ਦਿਸਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਪਦਾ ਦੁਖਾ।
I see no love and devotion in you (and hence I have not come to you).

ਭਾਉ ਜਿਵੇਹਾ ਬਿਦਰ ਦੇ ਹੋਰੀ ਦੇ ਚਿਤਿ ਚਾਉ ਨ ਚੁਖਾ।
No heart I see has even a fraction of the love that Bidar bears in his heart.

ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਭਾਉ ਭਗਤਿ ਦਾ ਭੁਖਾ ॥੭॥
The Lord needs loving devotion and nothing else.

ਸਾਚੁ ਕਹੋਂ ਸੁਨ ਲੇਹੁ ਸਭੈ ਜਿਨ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕੀਓ ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਓ ॥੯॥੨੯॥
(ਮੈਂ) ਸਚ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾ, ਸਾਰੇ (ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ) ਸੁਣ ਲਵੋ ਕਿ ਜਿੰਨ੍ਰਹਾ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਦਾ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਰਹਾ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੯॥੨੯॥
I speak Truth, all should turn their ears towards it: he, who is absorbed in True Love, he would realize the Lord. 9.29.

O king, who will come to you?

ਐਸੋ ਭਾਉ ਬਿਦਰ ਕੋ ਦੇਖਿਓ ਓਹੁ ਗਰੀਬੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਭਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਮੈਂ ਬਿਦਰ ਦਾ ਇਤਨਾ ਪੇ੍ਰਮ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਗ਼ਰੀਬ (ਭੀ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।
I have seen such love from Bidur, that the poor man is pleasing to me. ||1||Pause||

Anath Ko Chaahan Jo Geae Sae Aaeae Anath Gavaae ||2||

Those who have departed, after craving for temporary wealth, have returned home without this temporary wealth. ||2||

ਆਪਣ ਲੀਆ ਜੇ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਭਾਗਠੁ ਹੋਇ ॥

Aapan Leeaa Jae Milai Thaa Sabh Ko Bhaagath Hoe ||

If people could gather it in by their own efforts, then everyone would be so lucky.

ਕਰਮਾ ਉਪਰਿ ਨਿਬੜੈ ਜੇ ਲੋਚੈ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ॥੩॥

Karamaa Oupar Nibarrai Jae Lochai Sabh Koe ||3||

According to the karma of past actions, one's destiny unfolds, even though everyone wants to be so lucky. ||3||

ਨਾਨਕ ਕਰਣਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਆ ਸੋਈ ਸਾਰ ਕਰੇਇ ॥

Naanak Karanaa Jin Keeaa Soee Saar Karaee ||

O Nanak, the One who created the creation - He alone takes care of it.
