Waking Up To A Copper Sunrise/Bloom

Live in the Light sees Robot 86 marry dreamy, off-kilter, and detuned pads with searing drum breaks and jagged yet embracing motifs to deliver an excursion into old skool that feels futuristic and familiar at the same time. Built on a foundation of tape-saturated samples, Live in the Light provides a nostalgia trip that never ventures into rave territory but undeniably got its blueprint from the glowstick heyday of the 90s. As the wonky pad moves off its axis, the warped vocal and rib-tickling sub lets us know we're in for an experience, and that's precisely what this track is for every second of its modest sub-4-minute runtime. The crunchy break picks up the pace and ushers in the first taste of the waspy lead motif, but we never get comfortable as we're taken off again for a closer solo inspection of the thumping break taken up a notch. When the motif returns on top and the carefully curated sub-bass slides back in, it's enough for a near-aural orgasm. Live in the Light is a track designed to inject a large helping of spice into any set and progress proceedings from warm-up to red-hot. Get it in your collection now!

I'm back! I've been working on this album for a while, was very excited to release it! This album is a combination of drum/drill n bass and ambient. I really enjoyed making this! Thanks for all the support that fueled me to create this, I hope you guys enjoy it and I'm really happy to be back! 
This track is an ambient one which I aimed to give a calming but melancholic vibe to. I used feedback pads in the background of this track to give it a stronger sense of depth.

The Letterman

DJ Soo returns to Dragon Trax after time spent honing his production skills on a new hardware set up, and the results are stunning... 

It's a family affair too, featuring brilliant contributions from Soo's wife Socool and their little girl. 

The EP kicks off in fine style with "Ah hah!" - an immediate and infectious dancefloor beast with bouncing synth lines, crisp handclaps and joyful samples of Soo's daughter giving it some serious disco vamp. 

"Tropika" goes deeper with tribal breaks that bloom into latin piano stabs, luxurious washes of colour and interjections of jittery rhythms. It puts me in mind of Spiritual House godfather Joe Clausell's sound. A stunning track worthy of any House collection. 

"Dark Haus" twists the vibe again with similar rhythmic chops to "Ah hah!", but with a haunted house ghost ride of a dirty bassline that I was humming for weeks after Soo sent me this. So funky it's ridiculous! 

We close proceedings with a classic Socool rework of "Tropika" that heads straight for the lush and dreamily haunted sounds that label-regular Emily has been perfecting over the last few years.
