I actualy don't think that megalovania is the the player's theme like 2N thinks. My reasoning for this is that sans is holding back in all the other runs, he tells you himself you would be dead where you stand if he had not made a promise to Toriel, I know he said he was joking, but he never jokes when his eyes diapear. Megalovania is the song that truly encompases sans's character. He is fun loving, but that is partly a mask to hid his deprssion, he may or may not remeber the resets, but he feels like life has no meaning if you keep reseting it. The only reason he stands in your way in the genocide run is not becuase of what you have done (he won't fight you if you spare just one monster), its about what you will do. He knows you will erase this reality if you get past him, that is the only thing worse than knowing you live is a time loop. Megalovania is a song for a broken man (posibly warrior) who has to take a last stand against a power he knows he can't beat.

The Macho Man leads the efforts against Zeno, assuring that his destruction will allow the prophecy to be fulfilled and for everyone to be able to go home.

Zeno was a big WWE/pro wrestling fan, and his alltime favorite wrestler was Macho Man Randy Savage. He made his magnum opus YTP about Randy Savage's iconic "cream of the crop" interview, and would frequently reference the Slim Jim commercials Randy Savage was in. I guess if Zeno were to have any favorite wrestler, it would stand to reason that it would be the most bombastic of them all.
