This is a song version of an instrumental composed by Vijay Kannan few months back. The lyrics (written in Tamil) and vocals are by Uma Ramasubramaniam.

This song is being uploaded to celebrate the sixth anniversary of Raga Surabhi. This song is a lullaby, a special one at that, set in raga Sahana, the translation of which is given in the song description. Please do share with your friends, family and social circle. However something that I've always leaned towards is to explore the idea of propping up our beautiful classical music against various genres like pop, rock, jazz etc. So here is a song from my outfit Karthick Iyer Live. We have played Thyagaraja's krithi Manavyala in the raga Nalinakanthi.
