Awake at Night Podcast #036 Hemky (PL)

For the launch of our very first Front Radio, we're kicking things off with none other than Guillaume Michaud, a name that’s been making serious waves across Montréal’s dancefloors. For the occasion, Guillaume shares the first 2 hours of that landmark Stereo debut. Expect groove, intention, and a whole lot of heart in this month’s mix.

2025 has already been a landmark year for Guillaume. From stepping into the role of assistant choreographer on Star Académie to headlining Stereo for the first time, a long-time dream come true, he’s been moving with purpose both on stage and behind the decks.

Looking ahead, August is stacked. He’ll be heading to Ontario to play Camp Summerdaze, a music, wellness and art gathering happening the first weekend of the month. Back in town, he joins Fierté Montréal with a debut T DANCE set at the Olympic Stadium on August 10. That same evening, he’ll close the celebrations with his signature all-night set for Les Beaux Dimanches at Stereobar, his personal favourite gig of the year.

Keef’s Luv of music began in his childhood years, at the age of 5 he already had an emotional
connection with music having taken up the piano and flute, he was also fixated with synthesisers
thanks to the likes of Brian Eno, Steve Hillage and Jean-Michel Jarre.

His tastes varied from Classical Music to Heavy Metal and most genres in-between.
At the start of his career he played bass for touring Nu-Metal band Twelve Point Head travelling around Europe with the likes of Motorhead, Hawkwind, Jethro Tull, Incubus, Fun Lovin Criminals, Rose Tattoo, The Alabama 3 and The Almighty.
Furthering his career he was identified as being rather gifted he then went on to produce music for television and film.

Keef with his Record Label Chill Zone Recordings has been recognised globally within the music industry. Finding harmony and peace in music writing he has created a personal mix of his own bespoke sounds.
He has been a resident DJ for BeachGrooves Radio, The One Ibiza and has guested on many other Radio Stations and online platforms and is currently a resident on Saturo Sounds.
Keef has earned a reputation for being an outstanding Club DJ, Remixer and Producer, his vibes have been felt farand-wide.
He has releases with Tanzgemeinschaft, Stripped Recordings, Somnia Records, Korecraft Records, Cubism, Toka Music and Electronic Tree.

Claus Pieper has been a formative figure in the electronic music scene for over 30 years. As an experienced musician, DJ and label operator, he inspires audiences worldwide with his extraordinary sound and unique style.

His musical career began in the 90s, characterised by innovation and a passion for electronic sounds. As co-founder of the pioneering band GENLOG, which had a major influence on the rave sound, and as founder of the German techno and house magazine RAVELINE, Claus Pieper has a deep understanding of the scene.

As a DJ and live act, he has performed at renowned festivals such as Mayday, Nature One, Love Parade, Air Rave and Rave & Cruise. He has also played in the world's best clubs, including Pacha Ibiza, Gasometer Vienna, Art Club Madrid, Tresor Berlin and Oxa Switzerland.

In addition to his work with GENLOG, Claus Pieper is also active in various side projects in which he attracts attention with outstanding releases and remixes. He has released a total of nine albums and well over 60 singles and has worked as a remixer for numerous artists. He also composed the soundtrack for the German cinema film ‘ANGEL EXPRESS’.

He regularly releases tracks under his own name as well as under pseudonyms such as Loft 15 A and Triance, on popular labels such as M-Sol Deep, Noom Records, Plastic City, Urbanic Music, Soundvessel Records and Tibetania Records.

Originally from the Northwest of Ireland, Colm began his DJ career in 1998, playing across clubs in his home region and honing his distinctive sound. In 2005, he made the move to New York City, where he now resides and continues to evolve as an artist.

Over the years, Colm has contributed guest mixes to respected platforms such as Bekool, Ibiza Global Radio, Canopy Sounds, Deeper Sounds, ROFD, and Deep House Islamabad, among others. His sets are known for weaving together lush textures and deep, emotive rhythms that span Deep House, Organic House, and Progressive genres.

Colm is also the host of Dirty Grooves, a monthly show on Saturo Sounds Radio, where he curates an hour of cutting-edge music, reflecting both his signature style and the latest in the underground electronic scene.

This month, we're joined by one of Melbourne’s most respected selectors, Cara Murphy — a standout figure in Australia’s underground scene.

Cara has held residencies at iconic venues and club nights like Onesixone and Doesn’t Matter Melbourne. She has made regular appearances at beloved spots such as Revolver Upstairs, The Emerson, and Storyville, as well as supported international heavyweights including Sasha, Monkey Safari, Mees Salomé, and Low Steppa. Cara has also performed on stages for Defected and Glitterbox tours, plus the global platform of Amsterdam Dance Event 2023.

Awarded Best DJ at the 2023 Music Victoria Awards, Cara recently stepped into production with her debut track “Dusk” on Valiant Records — a boutique underground house imprint run by Tom Evans and Jacob Malmo, under the Vicious label group.

This mix is pure journey. Hypnotic, cinematic, and built for deep listening.

Music has always been a real passion. Early Electro and Acid House lead me into the realms of the Rave Scene from 1988 - 1993 and the world of Pirate Radio Stations. Sunrise & Biology enveloped London's airwaves. From there I developed my love for Electronic Music. Organic House, Deep House, Progressive House, Melodic House, with a bit of Techno and Ambient thrown in.
