Fanontale is an AU that takes inspiration from Undertale fanon perceptions by using it to influence the roles the beloved characters take, as well as manifesting in-universe, affecting the characters and their stories.
This is not an Undertale AU about "What if Undertale fanon was good", but rather one that seeks to answer the question of "what if fanon perceptions had direct consequences for the lives these characters live?"

Grillby takes Napstablook's role. After his business very rapidly grew in popularity, he, somewhat surprisingly, didn't feel at all happy at his newfound success. He felt overwhelmed and as if he was losing himself, no longer keeping the core of what made his restaurant so appealing in the first place. 

So, he's decided to take a page out of his favourite customer's book and take many a vacation in the Community Gardens, where he hopes to relax and take a break from the chaos of the underground. However, chaos ends up finding him regardless... And he takes it about as well as you'd expect.
