Beaming in from Tokyo with the kind of deadly new bass configurations to fully shut down a dance, Sneaker Social Club are very proud to present a five-strong shockout from T5UMUT5UMU.

You might have caught the breakthrough producer bringing their wayward signals to Hakuna Kuala for their debut 12” Sea Of Trees, but a dive into their Bandcamp shows a prolific studio head turning out beats with laser focus and unstoppable flair. Messing with the physical essence of Gqom, Dubstep, Grime, Trap, abber and more besides, the T5UMUT5UMU sound flexes between styles to make up its own soundsystem language, and this new EP on Sneaker is the perfect demonstration.

Deadly square wave bass punching into the dead of night, granulated speech patterns and whipcrack drums, grimey flute stabs and dramatic percussive rolls all spill into the soup at various points and the mood remains heavy at all times, but it’s never morose. The drops are too fiery to keep your head down, and there’s space for more than just sullen sonics (check the rousing melodic refrains hovering over the tumbling taiko drums on ‘Ikusa’ and you’ll see what we mean).

This kind of inventive progression of the bass music idea is exactly what Sneaker is built on, and it’s our pleasure to bring it to your ears.

T5UMUT5UMU - 武者 Musha

Label founder Solomun returns to Diynamic with what is his first release on his own imprint since 2020. After being busy with his sophomore album „Nobody Is Not Loved", a multitude of remixes and many other projects, he now drops „Feels Like A Jungle", a two part record for which he partnered up with Berlin-based artist Novaa, who already released on Diynamic's sub-label 2DIY4. Turn on Part 1 and you immediately notice: a guitar strumming? And no beat, just the vulnerable voice of Novaa swaying along, when all of a sudden brutal Jungle DnB percussions collide with an abstract bass synth and create a rollercoaster of emotions and intensities - like the up and down of chaos and calm inside a lost mind. Part 2 is the club-ready version of this collaboration - hit the dance floor, close your eyes and ponder away.

Pharoahs signature is  hypnotic style, from traditional jazz structures to avant garde wails and spiritual chaotic passages. Last excerpt- Astral Traveling, shows the uniqueness of timbre and tone that can be achieved through a Fender Rhodes, played here by Lonnie Liston Smith. By chance it was Pharoah who introduced Lonnie to the instrument, and from then own he carved his own cosmic funk style. John Coltrane pioneered "Spiritual Jazz", which then fueled McCoy Tyner, Alice Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders, Sun Ra, Carlos Santana and countless other great musicians. Their music SOARS to the stratosphere with intense energy and extremely demanding arrangements.
