"Another song recorded! This is my first ever fully realized Jungle track, and overall I'm pretty happy with the way it came out. The inspiration was a hack-n-slash game like "No More Heroes" or "Ninja Gaiden", but with a bit of a futuristic twist to it - that's why Grey Fox came to mind. I could see this as maybe the 3rd or 4th level music, leading up to tougher enemies than what you're used to until you reach some sort of mid-boss when all the tracks come together. Comments and critiques appreciated, image belongs to the original creator. This song was written and recorded entirely in Ableton Live."

Hacking Through the Ranks

"Woohoo, a new song in less than 24 hours of finishing the previous one - never done that before! So this one's very straightforward: It's psytrance/full-on trance with a guitar riff as the main theme, with a mock TB-303 in the mix as the bassline - this comes into play towards the end when I start tweaking the filter on the fly. The inspiration was essentially F-Zero GX (the game's universe and the amazing soundtrack), or some other distant future where you're racing across beautiful landscapes. It reminds me a lot of "Acid or Nothing" by 1200 Mics with the guitar riff. My only regret with this song is that I didn't have the hardware to record an actual guitar riff from my guitar, but the sound I got out of Ableton sounds damn fine on its own. Other than that, I'd be hard-pressed to be happier than I am with this one. Comments & critiques appreciated.

Warp Speed

"So this marks the second song I've ever fully written and recorded. This one is an industrial-inspired piece, and has given me a lot of practice to work around with some of the staples of recording this stuff (distorted 909s and such). Some influences for this include Front 242, Combichrist, Front Line Assembly, and I think the classical arps come from Daft Punk of all things. I think with some editing and some creative sampling (vocals wouldn't hurt either) this could be made into something much better, but I'm still a bit new at this, and considering what I have to work with - which is literally just my laptop and some soft synths - I think this came out well (except the song name, I'm still bad at coming up with those). Comments and critiques appreciated.

Reign of Industry

"So this time around I tried to go for less of an emphasis on the rhythm and more on the wall of sound that makes the foundation for everything. The big focus was to make the music without a groove so that it blends better in the background, but in the end there's a bit of a rhythm to it in the bassline but that's okay. The inspiration here was some deep, dark corner of the universe where good cannot thrive and the unknown and sinister dwell - like this would be the place Lavos from Chrono Trigger is spawned from, or the hell from the movie Event Horizon. This piece was designed to put you on edge and make you uncomfortable - it certainly does that to me! As usual, use your best pair of headphones for the full effect.

Far Reaches

"Another dark ambient track! I really like creating music that builds tension in its rhythm like this, and doing so without any distinct drum tracks (the percussion heard here was a synth). I'll be the first to admit that this one feels a bit forgettable after listening to it, but for a simple day's worth of work I'm happy with what came out. For visual inspiration I picture the symbiotes from Spiderman, or perhaps the planet Phaaze from Metroid Prime 3 - something abstract that slowly takes over your person and consumes you, with the end results becoming more and more overt as you become lost... maybe next time I'll try and make something happier. lol For now please comment, critique, and sub maybe.

Creeping Madness

"Okay, my third fully completed song. This one is very rooted in techno, with the idea in my mind being some sort of exploration of a barren desert planet in the distant future, perhaps with a time-lapse of day and night cycles as the camera watches the exploration crew. Not too much experimentation here, though I did get creative with some of the time signatures for the synth lines - makes the song less predictable and easier to blend in the background as ambient music, but doesn't do anything to ruin the main groove. I feel as though I did much better to level out the final mix this time around as well, since on Reign of Industry it came out very bass-heavy. Ah well, please enjoy and leave constructive feedback. :)

"Another one in the bag! This song is pretty short and sweet, and starts off sounding potentially sinister with the percussion - my intention was to actually make something very brooding akin to early Delerium. It ended up turning into a pleasant little soundscape, even incorporating pianos and eastern string instruments - they mix very well with the synths. Writing this has made for a very calming day. lol Comments and critiques appreciated.

Frozen Dawn

"Here's another song down! The inspiration behind this one can be kind of summed up by the image (as usual, I don't own that), in that I thought about the passage of time on a galactic scale - both at a very fast pace over millenia as well as within, well, one light cycle relative to the given planet. Time-lapse recordings of nature come to mind too, but with a sci-fi imaginative twist to them. 

I've definitely settled into a pattern for building up my songs, as well as given synths that I like to use (that whistling sine, for example). I think next time I'll try and diversify again, but for now I'm very satisfied with how this came out. Please comment, critique, and - preferably with headphones for best listening results - enjoy. :)"

Light Cycle

"Another one down! I was in a bit of a mood I guess to have this one come out so somber. It makes me think of a deep shade of purple, something very sinister, cold, and consuming. I tend to have a theme with space so I thought the name "Dark Star" kind of stuck. It also makes me think of Enigma from DotA 2. I couldn't think of where to take the song so it's a bit short but that's how these things go. Rate, comment, and critique please!

Very basic track, but I like the groove with it. I called it The Professor because I picture this as music you might hear if you're in the middle of a videogame and you start a conversation with a professor that has upgrades or items for you to buy - this being his theme or something.
