We’re happy to announce Stavroz’s first EP on Moodfamily: 'Silent Spring'. Having already released on labels such as Bedrock, Wired and Délicieuse Musique, the Belgian band is ready for their highly anticipated follow up, delivering an EP ready for sunscreen and ripe for the picking. 

In the title track, frivolous bass guitars accompany a broadly shouldered melody and gently carry the track to glory while a snug piano hides in the breaks, building a beautiful contrast. 'A Great Day to Fly a Kite' brings horns straight from miles high, happily intertwining with a ruthless groove, pushing the atmosphere and delivering a quirky impact on the dance floor. 'Should've brought an Umbrella' graciously closes the EP with a touching - and at the same time organic sound.

This bundle of joy is available in download stores worldwide on April 30th 2015.

The eighth piece of The Golden Ravedays puzzle will be released on Hippie Dance in August 2017. Number 8 of the series introduces two tracks that will take you to the far side of somewhere you’ve never been before. They are both reminiscent of outer space blues playing spooky games in a dust bowl.

Side A features Tuesday Paris Texas a tastefully arranged track with vintage sounds passing nonchalantly through a wild western aural landscape. The music is announced like a cowboy movie dual complete with bar doors swinging on rusty nails in slow motion. Mournful guitar strings swirl over a steady horseback galloping beat, expanding into a full-on-fire dance track. Halfway through a woman’s haunted voice appears and disappears like an eerie siren, a gunshot is fired (was that a gunshot?), a man whispers “what!?” Tuesday Paris Texas is in no hurry to give an answer.

Dabei hatte er Spaß, die Grundlinie einer ziemlich berühmten Disco-Spur neu zu erstellen. “ Er möge es, Genres auseinanderzunehmen. „Deshalb war ich damals amüsiert, ein freches Banjo-Riff mit Rock-Trommeln und dieser Bass-Hook zu mischen“, gesteht der dänische Musiker. (...) „Ehrlich gesagt hatte ich nicht vor, diesen Track zu veröffentlichen, da er ein bisschen weit weg von dem ist, was ich heute tue.“ Aber @beatandpath, das Label, auf dem die Nummer mit einem Remix von @madmotormiquel erscheint, habe das Stück wirklich gefallen und wollte es rausbringen: „Also dachte ich mir: warum nicht?“ (...)
