Dan examines our national, military idea of ‘enemies,’ as well as how modern culture in the U.S. is increasingly using the word and concept of ‘enemy’ more broadly, and harmfully. With linguistic, dharma and personal examples, Dan points to how we are limiting our responses and closing our hearts to people and ideas by accepting these artificial categories of ‘enemy’ and ‘friend.’

A sampling of music from some of our choirs, this album is dedicated to Jean & Scott Adam, members of St. Monica Church and our Music Ministry.  Jean & Scott dedicated their retired years to God by sailing around the world and spreading the Good News in poor countries. Tragically, they were captured and killed by Somalian pirates in March 2011. Their spirit lives on in our parish mission: "To form loving disciples who will transform the world".
