Alright, let's do this one last time. In yet another adventure through the multiverse, it seems the amazing Spider-Man has entered the arcade! With an urban aesthetic and spray paint in hand, he does whatever a spider can! Thinking back to the tunes of his home and his other super-powered allies, Miles wants to do his own thing on the familiar tracks we all know and love. So watch out, here comes the Spider-Man!

It’s been a quiet year
A productive but quiet year

Feeling grown has caught right up to me
I can’t trust the way that I judged character before
I was wrong again and I can’t take it anymore

A Quarter

Here’s something different; a remix of a remix! Smuffy is another figure I look up to in the plunderphonics community. His recent departure from making music and making all of his samples and projects ‘open source’ has really opened the floodgates for the community to get creative; which I had to join in myself!

I had a lot of fun playing around with the chord structure and even the vocal sampling, paying homage to Smuffy’s eclectic sampling from a range of films/tv shows. Composed using samples from the original track, and vocals from Smuffy’s open sourced sample folder on Archive.org!

Hey gang!
Here’s a little something for your ears:
We’ve put together a tasty new mix from our catalogue, but with a twist! Most of the tracks have been re-spiced and re-heated to bring you a whole hour of new-ish music, laced with an extra dash of house flavour. It's a whistle-stop tour through the Caravan Palace universe – energetic, playful, and connecting the dots between past and present.
If we must still call it electro-swing, then let's say the needle leans a little more than usual toward the “electro” side, thanks in part to remix works from Shiny Mob (a.k.a. Arnaud’s solo playground).
No big statement – just an hour of having fun with the music, to make you smile, move, and maybe discover something you’d missed (or forgotten).

Caravan Palace - Dusty House Mix

This track has been on the back burner for a while. 'Gotta Be A Way' samples vocals from Jay Graydon's album 'Airplay For The Planet' which features underrated vocalists like Sherwood Ball and Warren Wiebe. 

Jay Graydon, isn't only a great guitarist; but is also a great songwriter, working with artists such as Al Jarreau, Earth Wind And Fire and Marvin Gaye, Barry White, Aretha Franklin (just to name a few!) In my mind, he's still underrated as a songwriter so check his stuff out!

This track was also composed with synthesisers, keyboards, extra guitars and slap bass, along with some sneaky samples from an unreleased Pogo track!

Bon Appétit! Here's a fun hard hitting house remix of Walt Disney's and Pixar film 'Ratatouille' (2007). For this, I decided to good deep with samples from the film's soundtrack and sound design for most of the instrumentation.

I also dug into my record collection and sampled some chords and loops from Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli to tap into the old 'Hot Jazz Manouche' style. To add even more 'frenchiness', I doubled tracked the samples with my old accordion and my grandad's old concertina.
