ST53 is the latest project to be released in 2020 by creative entrepreneur Stephen Fryer.

Stephen was previously known for co-owning the Record Label 'Inward Records' releasing music from incredible artists such as: The Soul Brothers, Double Touch, Raw Main, Timboletti, Sparrow & Barbossa, Pippi Ciez & many more. Including loving support from popular electronic music channels such as trdmsk, electronic groove, sweet music, closing sounds.

Back in Stephen's early 20's he was known globally for his artist project 'Steve Fryer', where he was signed to Blacksoul Music, featuring on Hed Kandi Albums & BBC Introducing. Notoriously known for his innovative productions, track selection and hardworking creativeness behind the decks, as he firmly established himself as a global success, making chart topping hit's week in week out. Pioneering a unique twist within the Deep House music boom between 2011-2014. Owning Birmingham’s award winning event night ‘K/SS’ (Keep It Sexy & Sophisticated) on a weekly basis. DJ’ing internationally in 14+ cities worldwide, collating over 1 million+ streams along his journey. 

As time passed by Stephen found him-self fighting between a promising career at Jaguar Land Rover and a promising career as a music artist. In mid 2015 after maturing as an artist, Stephen found himself being disconnected with his 'Steve Fryer' music project he had originally created. Amongst that emotion and his external environmental influences, Stephen had put his music production career aside to focus on his journey as an Electrical Engineer. 

Even though Stephen had put his music productions on hold, whilst exploring a new signature sound, he still fronted his event nights in Birmingham, playing an array of music from Funk. Indie, Disco & Vocal House. Along with launching a record label alongside co-founder Pippi Ciez.

Stephen was brought up surrounding a variety of eclectic sounds. Funk, Soul, 70’s, 80’s, R&B, Indie, and Electro House were always blasting upon his iPod or Stereo Speaker. His love for music could even be expressed by the cassettes he used to record each and every Sunday for hours upon end as a child, waiting for each individual track to start and stop as he presses the record button on and off, trying to not capture the radio hosts voice.

By day/night, Stephen is a serial entrepreneur, owning a Property Management Company, Marketing Consultancy & Business Mentorship Program. By night/day, he likes to let loose, dance around, and meet likeminded creative souls <3

As the COVID-19 pandemic strikes, and external distractions dissipated, Stephen has reconnected with his love for mixing music, finally being able to display a signature sound he had grown extremely close to over the past 5 years, turning his consumer habits into an influencer of a beautiful organic healing sounds, providing respect and gratitude to the artists who has influenced him over time.
