The Three Graces - Written By William Carlos Williams

The dramatic shift in this poem occurs in the last 4 lines. After a detailed description of that one day, the reader finds out suddenly that the loved person has died (or maybe the relationship itself has just died) and that the two had long, happy, sometimes difficult times together. The feel of this poem is similar to Yeats's "A Deep-Sworn Vow"
