Stachy.DJ mixt die magische fünfzig. Kennengelernt haben wir uns 2009 mit aUtOdiDakT & Toni Tress, StacyG. aka Stachy.DJ auf der C/O Pop mit unserem Trip auf der "Messemeile der Popkultur" in Köln. Traktor Records und Twin Town fusionierten für ein langes Wochenende zu den "TraktorTwins" und MySpace.com sponsorte unseren Messestand mit dem glorreichen Motto: "Freilaufende Künstler in artgerechter Haltung". Wir Underdogs sind damals fulminant gestartet. Stachy.DJ hat den Minimesse-Floor mit überdimensionierter P.A. in Grund & Boden gerockt und der "Kompakt Party" ordentlich Konkurrenz gemacht. "KRAWALL UND REMMIDEMMI". Nicht nur die Feststellung das unsere Standorte, Sankt Ingbert und Radebeul, tatsächlich Partnerstädte sind, Stachy.DJ & Toni Tress pflegen und hegen bewusst schon jahrelang die Interessen im permanenten musikalischen Wirtschafts- und Innovationsaustausch. Abseits des B2Bs ist auch eine respektvolle Freundschaft entstanden, die unsere OST-WEST Beziehungen durchaus stärkt.

Doch es gibt da noch eine andere Seite die Stachy.DJ inne hat. Er ist stolzer dreifacher Vater und in dieser echten Funktion ein wahrer Pendeldiplomat, der es nicht immer einfach hat die richtigen Worte bei seinen Girls zu finden. Schwierig im Spagat den Seiltanz über den Vulkan zu schaffen, der immer wieder bedrohlich nah vor dem Ausbruch steht. Eine falsche Bewegung, ein falsches Wort und die Türen gehen in de Radebeuler Kinderzimmern schneller zu, als die Zug Tür des japanischen Schnellzugs "SHINKANSEN". Auch da durfte ich dabei sein. Er diskutiert viel und leidenschaftlich. Immer mit nordischen Humor der alten "Fischmob"-Note, gerne mal süß-sauer wie bestes eingewecktes polnisches Kwidzyn und ganz bestimmt mit Schalk im Nacken.

Nun alles zu sagen, vieles zu wissen und dann doch geballt das Leder an die Latte zu zimmern, um den Treffer in der Thematik zu landen ist, denke ich, bei Kids sau, sau schwierig. Was gibt es da besseres, als alter DJ-Fuchs die Taktik anzuwenden, andere Größen des BIZ das Wort zu überlassen? Der Meister schweigt, drückt dafür auf Play und sagt zu den Mädels: "ONLY FEMALE-HIPHOP HURRRRAAAYYY"!!!

Ein paar geflügelte Worte hat Stachy.DJ doch noch gefunden:

".. und der MC ist weiblich. Hier geht es um die Message – direkt, verständlich und nicht zu überhören. Fette Beats? Klar, bitteschön. Aber der Content ist noch fetter, gendern nicht notwendig: FemaleRap, dem du einfach nicht entkommen kannst. In Respekt für Midori Nel, Yara Lia, Kaya Lin, Klanka_Bios und alle Frauen, die mich mein Leben lang inspiriert haben."

Here's the new radio show straight out of the studio from none other than @stachy, a true legend who has been living his daily life in Dresden for a few years now, but has a career that spans all sorts of roots in music, with a respectable background in hip-hop and a decent career in pop music under his belt. To this day, he just can't get enough of music, be it in an academic context, as a versatile electronic music producer, a passionate lover of ambient and vaporwave or as a fun DJ. For the show, he dives deep into his Polish roots with this special version of Baltic Balearica, which he calls Bigos a la Balearic. Have fun!

No fakes and as close to the original as possible, so basically the opposite what usually happens if @stachy takes on a track and grinds that one through the sound mincer ...
It is a kind of proof of heritage for @stachy,  as he has never really been a "jazz-dj" (but what does it mean to be a dj these days anyways?)
This summer in cracow - the polish city kraków - THE cultural center of poland. Very close by the tourist routes there is a old jewish quarter - kazimierz. 
There it was, a shop transformed living room in a first floor appartment. And inside: vinyl!!!
A person living there, a person with knowledge and a very fine selection of the last 40 years of pressed gold from poland.
To make a long story short - that was the goldmine @stachy digged all the fine stuff in this show: polski jazz z winylu.

Obwohl wir sonst ja eher gerne die Newcomer zum Zuge kommen lassen, dröhnt beim neuen Podcast der Legenden-Alarm. Niemand anderes als @Stachy.DJ ist an der Reihe, ehemals Fischmob-Mitglied und bis heute umtriebiger Produzent diverser amtlicher Techno-Banger. Sein Herz gehört gegenwärtig vor allem dem Vaporwave, den er bei seiner Liquid Sound Club-Reihe in der Toskana Therme in Bad Schandau oder mit seinem Ambient-Alias HOFUKU SOCHI 報復措置 zelebriert.

Für den DAVE-Podcast hat sich der Wahldresdner natürlich was Besonderes ausgedacht. Während des Festivals wird er ein Tape veröffentlichen. Seite A könnt ihr hier schon mal vorhören. Seite B gibt's dann exklusiv nur auf der Kassette. Erhältlich sein wird das Tape auf seiner Bandcamp-Seite und bei Pierre von DAVE. Vielleicht hat Stachy.DJ ja auch bei seinen DAVE-Stationen ein paar Exemplare dabei. Zu erleben ist er beim Open Ambient Space – Workshop am 23. Das Projekt von Altmeister Stachy ist so frisch wie der morgendliche Tau auf einer Kirschblüte. Seine Soundscapes, Produktionen und Mixes sind so unfassbar innovativ und dennoch mit traditioneller, denkwürdiger, raffinierter Technik gespickt, dass Dir als Zuhörer eine Freudenträne über die Wange läuft. Dies ist heute eine Premiere für uns und für Euch - etwas ganz besonderes zum Hören.

Das ist kein klassischer DJ VinylMix, sondern ein TapeMix, direkt von Kassette recorded und gemischt. Abgefahren nicht wahr?!
 
Aber was passiert da?
Wenn man also eine Musikdatei auf einer Festplatte abspielt, passiert eigentlich nicht viel. Es ähnelt einer Quarz-Digitaluhr - nur Zahlen, die für etwas stehen und ein Algorithmus mit dem der Soundchip gespeist wird. Ein Tape dagegen enthält einen physischen Eindruck eines Ereignisses, sauber aufgespult und sorgfältig auf dem feinen Magnetträger aufbewahrt. Du drückst die Playtaste und dann passiert etwas: Motoren surren, Riemen treiben Zahnräder an, Tonköpfe rasten anmutig ein. Die Kassette wird zum Sound. Es ist kein Medium für Eilige, eher für Sammler und Jäger; es ist nicht einfach, Tracks zu überspringen oder nur diese eine Lieblingspassage zu finden. 

Dieser Mix, der ausschließlich aus Originaltapes seiner Sammlung besteht, ist eine Liebeserklärung von Stachy an seinem lebenslangen Begleiter. Eine Hommage an eine Musikhörkultur, die von spotify, apple music & Co. meilenweit entfernt ist. Und das ist gut so.
