Arís return with part three of their ongoing series revisiting seminal 90’s Irish dance releases, reissuing the debut EP from long standing D1 Recordings luminary Rob Rowland. His 1994 effort M.F.N. is remastered from the original DAT source for the first time, and comes with a fresh remix from young Dublin prog sensation Dylan Forbes.

‘An Apparition’ introduces the hazy feeling of AutoClub’s ‘Apparition’ EP with a thundering kick, dubbed-out chords, and a mysterious vocal sample topped off with a funky 303 interlude. The A2 track, ‘CoupCoup’, then builds late-night suspense with looming strings and chords driven by deep, groove-soaked percussion. 

‘Molecular’ kicks off the B side with eerie vocal samples and gorgeous, otherworldly synth work, held together with a heavy broken beat and a morphing acid line. This is before ‘It’s You’ summarises the EP’s concept with a mesmerising exploration through propulsive percussion, deep bass and immersive, evolving chords. Lastly, ‘Delos Infidelity’ joins the release as a digital bonus with smooth, dreamlike melodies and detailed, interlaid grooves. 

Mike McClure and Craig Lambert form AutoClub. Craig, known as Midnight Music Club, and McClure, going by the alias of Autokinetic, join forces to create modern music rooted in old-school sound through live performance, blending futuristic electronic music with refreshing human qualities. They now land on Kajunga Records, a label with a discography spanning the left-field recordings of artists such as Lonefront, Heckadecimal, Ryote, and Lambert’s Midnight Music Club.

The sun was setting on the boulevard as he prepared to line up for the last run of the day. He was tired and beaten, his feet were weary and he struggled to rally himself to the forefront to repeat the process. 

Most of the other skaters had headed home for the evening having succumbed to the dense warmth of the midsummer sun. 

He began to roll, moving slowly forwards before kicking up speed. 

This was it, as he weaved between the cracks and bumps in the direction of the slope. Then he kicked out, airwalk to fakie and land. 

The day was done.

Game over is a track I wrote beginning of 2025 to process the changes AI does bring to our society. For many, AI interaction is something that happens on a daily base. For some AI has even replaced friends, doctors and therapists. A shocking development, as AI is lacking on so many levels, compared to real human interaction.

Building on the outright success of his previous outings for Exalt Records, The Hidden Figure returns to deliver a sharp EP of pacey and shimmering acid on the UK South Coast based label. Across the four tracks he tackles a slew of styles - Oxendales Acid is a pacey chugger to open the release which moves into deeper electro dance floor feels on Confirmation Bias. On the B Side Helvetios embraces lifting synths and a gliding house energy rounded out by some uplifting introspective moments on Stolen Tears.

This EP seems a fitting end to a stellar run for this shadowy and mysterious pseudonym of Dublin based producer Paul Cignol. Releasing music for labels Computer Controlled, Further Electronix and Lunar Disco Records Cignol has become cultishly prolific over his decade long story. This EP is part of a final run for Exalt Records who will be closing the label at the end of 2020.

Stackenschneider is a night club located in the very centre of Saint Petersburg close to all the main touristic attractions.

It is a club that promotes various underground electronic music and hosts weekend parties with emerging Russian and foreign independent music talent from around the world. The club was named after Andrey Stackenschneider, a Russian architect who lived and worked in Saint Petersburg in the 19th century, and who designed and built the house at Millionnaya street which was the first home for Stackenschneider club.

In 2014 the club moved to a more brutally designed industrial space in the nightlife destination at Konyushennaya square.

Either for dancing at the sunrise on a crowded roof terrace in summer or for truly rave experience on the inside dance floor full of club goers you will remember Stackenschneider as one of the best places to visit, dance and have fun while you are in town.
