In fact the 26 Submariners who have dedicated their Artwerks to our 2nd annual family compilation, will help raise money for a protest movement to stop shark netting across beaches on the Australian east coast. This netting indiscriminately catches and kills marine animals and is proven to be ineffective.

Second compilation of a “This Is How We Break…” series focused on breaks and bass music to enlighten our emerging electronic scene from France and abroad.

Based on the free interpretation of the ‘breakbeat’ genre, the breadcrumb trail of this second compilation is the theme “from happy to dark” (or the other way) to celebrate the fluctuation of emotions whether positive or negative. Over-cultivated positivism implies the rejection and the covering up of negative emotions… This compilation is here to reminds you to live fully your emotions and only think about what’s best for you. It’s OK not to always look on the bright side of things. Be gentle to yourself.

Marchesa Casati is the midnight apparition, the priestess of funk - she is the lady octopus with the seductive looks. Aboard her Milanese galleon, Casati commands the waves dressed perfectly nude beneath a fur cloak, guarded by three-tailed panthers on diamond-studded leashes. Accompanied by her merry band of disco buccaneers, the Mega Buff Squad sail the seven seas smuggling synthesisers by day and recording dope beats by night. This album is the sonic story of their famous voyage. Created multifariously with ill intent - Mega Buff represent.

We are thrilled to give you a sneak peek of the track of Shirley Temper: GET NAUGHTY. This track was very much inspired by a night out she had with a bunch of friends at a rave last summer in London. It was hot, sweaty, and one of her friends made the mistake of wearing clothes that were too tight that they ended up just tearing up anyway. She then found this vocal sample on Splice that she enjoyed splicing up as a top line with footwork-style rhythms. This was really a track that she felt like she was 'discovering,' and she really enjoyed messing around with genre-bending rhythmic elements. She made this track at a time when she was really starting to discover her flirty, sexy 160-focused sound with a UK touch!
