While creating the score for this film, I wanted the viewer to experience a sense of pleasant nostalgia for small-town traditions that have come to pass. Two main themes were composed for the film. The first, a lyrical cello motif which represents LeRoy's (the barber) memories of times gone by. The second, an upbeat melody led by pizzicato strings harkening back to the Golden Age of the barbershop. These themes weave together throughout the score, sometimes in tandem, other times in discord. By the end of the film, a solo piano is heard and the two themes meet with full resolve.

A New World Inside The Cave

Title: "Researchers"
Marcus and Peter have been in space for more than 2 years. They had traveled in silence in search of new forms of life and on the day 808 they sighted the green planet. They began to collect data and take photographs even though the joy of discovery prevented them from working calmly. Suddenly the onboard alarm sounded; 3 spaceships of dubious intentions were approaching at great speed. Marco raised the shields and decided to fly quickly to the planet. Thanks to his skill as a pilot he was able to detach his pursuers and land on the green planet. Marcus had made better landings, the spaceship hit the ground hard but they were all whole. The two pilots got off the ship and found themselves on a planet similar to earth, rich in vegetation and water. After so much time in space, it was wonderful to walk back to dry land ... Not even time to get used to gravity and they found themselves surrounded again. 20 warrior women had surrounded them and looked at them mysteriously. But that's another story...
