A quite old tune (2009) I made in FamiTracker for some Euskal Encounter lo-fi music compo I didn't succeed in. I wanted to give this one a foxtrot-ish/50's rock style.

This is my entry for the music compo at Euskal Encounter 25, held in Barakaldo, Spain, from July 22 to July 25, 2017. It was inspired by some space disco tracks I have been listening to in the past months and whereas it was made almost in a hurry (started it a mere two weeks before the party) and I think it could be improved I feel OK with the result.

This song ranked 3rd in the contest.

Space Squadron

A mashup with MOMOLAND's "Bboom Bboom" and Sergey "Epic Sax Guy" Stepanov's band "Run Away". I made this because I have some crazy friends that are getting me into k-pop and my mind is still refusing to accept it.

I always wanted to make some chiptune close to "mainstream" music using proper lyrics. I had learnt a lot listening to Thermostatic and they served as a great inspiration. This song was made in a hurry for Euskal Encounter 19 and won the HQ Music Compo.

8-bit mentality

I had thought of a tune mostly like this final product a long time before I released it. I wanted to do something epic, with electric guitars, but also combining mild Japanese sounds that would lead into the main melody, including taikos, shakuhachis and claves. Unfortunately, the worst part of having limited resources for a guy like me (no guitar knowledge, very few spare time...) is that everything ends up sounding very synthetic, which is a feature I'm not proud of at all. I'm quiet satisfied of how this song was finished even if it still feels a bit unpolished.

When I started listening to Kraftwerk and technopop in general I thought about making some similar sounds on my own and this song came out. This was to be part of a larger project on a conceptual album about mass media but the project was put on hiatus. It was also one of my first tracks with proper lyrics, this time in French.
