'Noone St. Encounter' and all associated works were created, produced and compiled on unceded Aboriginal land. General Merchant acknowledges that it operates on stolen land, belonging to the Gadigal and Wangal people of the Eora Nation, and we pay our respects to Aboriginal elders past, present and emerging.

‘Noone St. Encounter’ sonically depicts ex-terrestrial-isms that stem from an obsession of other worldly life forms. Rxex utilises modular synthesis to create atmospheres that are both biologically familiar and alien to the human ear. Probing beyond the outer orbits of the sound-solar system, Rxex incorporates psy-fi fantasy bass-abductionism to create a unique and varied sound that is informed by a distinctive modular synthesis. 

The release features an excellent remix by Naarm based Homelander that operates as a more functional dancefloor track to round out the EP.

The atmosphere has overheated to more than 1,800° Fahrenheit. The shell is still thinning and the ocean is expanding. From Earth, it looks like a world of dark gas, evidence of the existence of remote and subterranean depths with planetary powers.
Its vertices orbit a yellow dwarf, similar to the Sun. It's seven hundred light-years distant and located in the constellation of the Dragon.
It’s a wandering cosmic predator: Tres now travels at the speed of sound and is faster than light; such a high temperature obeys no rules.
Its particles move wildly, the dark atmosphere becomes blinding.

Yet out of this chaos, a profound transformation emerges: Formant Value, Property, Sun Genam, Bijū, CP1, Øbsidiaan, Aerae, and Aitch calcify the foundations and searing heat, giving birth to new elements and converging with the primordial pulse of dissolved tribal rhythms and the call of surreal psy meltdowns, forging new waves in space.
It’s time for a new genesis, having only just begun but destined to last through time for much longer.

Obtuse Swamp's second ecosystem "Hadal Biocenosis" is the result of two years of sonic exploration by Leipzig-based artist Kontinum. Moving from conventional techno to a more bass-oriented sound, he left his comfort zone and experimented with unusual grooves and textures for this release. The EP is rounded off by two remixes from french dub expert Són du Maquís and fellow Leipzig producer Esgeem.

'Cell' is a long awaited return by Gadigal Land/Sydney-based producer Pannotia. Released on the much loved Pure Space, the EP is a dense, evolving and fitting addition to the label's already cerebral catalogue.

Written between Gadigal Land & London over the last three years, 'Cell' sees Pannotia emulating the growth, division and chaotic synergy of natural processes through entirely unnatural means.

The EP's namesake, 'Cell', is a bubbling, growing and primordial take on techno that feels all too natural. Grinding synth & percussion pops throughout, as if to simulate the coming together of cells themselves, building an ecosystem of sound regularly punctuated by growling bass. 'Cell', much like the EP as a whole, feels alive.

Pure Space founder Andy Garvey said of the track that it's "a dense and hypnotic techno cut whose constantly evolving nature keeps you locked in," with the whole release "an ever-shifting ecosystem; alive with movement, modulation, and mutation."

'Cell' releases as a digital download on Pure Space's Bandcamp on Friday, May 2.

Two resonant voices from Florence’s underground converge in this powerful collaboration between Abo Abo (Daniele Carcassi) and TOMO (Tommaso Andorlini) —  The co-founders of the DE RIO collective and record label both deeply rooted and active in Italy’s experimental electronic scene well  known for pushing the limits of tribe and mental sound presents their first LP on the Brussels based imprint and collective Alliance.
Abo Abo’s multifaceted practice moves fluidly between clubs, theaters, and DIY spaces, blending academic machinery with raw underground energy that oscillates between precision and chaos. Whether through DJ sets, performances, or installations, Abo Abo treats sound as a living, evolving material — a fluid architecture shaped by space and raw impulse he explores as a territory in constant mutation.
TOMO brings a vision shaped by fast-paced rhythms, glitch minimalism, and tactile sound design. His sets are deeply physical, polyrhythmic journeys where IDM, deep techno, trance and post-tribal textures bleed into one another. Every element in his sonic landscape pulses with tension — somatic, spectral, alive.
Together, they craft an immersive, borderless language where loop-driven hypnosis meets granular abstraction. This LP on Alliance Club bridges their worlds: club energy and sound research, intuition and structure — vibrating between movement and stillness.
