The Rookie returns with his trademark style - pure rolling energetic techy freeform all the way - wrapped up in one monster EP! Kicking the proceedings off is 'Mindless', an absolute underground club roller peppered with Q&A fx and synth noises, percussive and punishing bass stabs, grimy leads and a killer vocal hook. One hell of a massive riff and breakdown bombs the whole tune back into the realms of freeform euphoria as it kicks off with a pure trance energy. If you like your 'form on the hard NRG side with lashings of tech influence, this one is for you. Flipping it up n' over for 'Take Me' and the energy levels remain high but the groove switches things up and nods directly to freeform's close association with hard dance. Offbeat bass bounces things along to another mega hard trance selection in the break, with more absolute euphoric fire as things kick off on the drop! Rick Chubbs returns to Stamina with another killer two-tracker EP. Having been busy carving a name for uplifting and club-hitting freeform hardcore across a variety of labels, we've nabbed another Yin Yang perfect pairing from the man. Kicking things off 'Let Your Ears Do The Talking' builds itself around a clever vocal ident, haunting chorals and emotional breakdown, that gives way to a massive melody that will melt down dancefloors with ease. Ramping up the freeform content in the latter half of the track, Rick drops in hoovers and acid at high BPMs to ensure it's another Stamina slammer firmly in his arsenal. Switching things up for the Yang side and it's heavy on the psy influences as 'Know The Power' sets the pace with tight basslines and punchy low kicks. A big main melody brings us back to euphoric territory before all hell gets let loose again as the psy section drives the track to its fierce conclusion. A winning EP that adds to Rick's ever-growing Stamina Records catalogue.

Next up on the STM slate, label founder A.B returns alongside Stamina regular K-Wire, as the pair reunite to provide an EP bursting with diversity and a little break from the freeform norm! Having already hooked up over the years to provide Stamina classics such as Smiler, Euphoria, Twisted, Ignition, both lads are back to push the boundaries once again with the killer two tunes that are 'This Mind Of Mine' & 'Leviathan'! Donks, vocals, bouncy basslines and hoovers aren't necessarily the first things that spring to mind when you think of freeform, but that's exactly what the genre should be all about - expecting the unexpected. All of those elements combine in 'This Mind Of Mine', alongside some mega trance euphoric business to provide a vocal anthem that's destined to add to the boys' catalogue of classics. Flip for the Yang and it's an altogether different cut as the duo unleash some inner darkness in the form of 'Leviathan'. There's still the odd donk here and there, but this time all is surrounded by pure ferocious driving kicks n bass, screeching synths, and more than a touch of distortion thrown in for good measure too! A timeless riff takes things up a notch after the breakdown, and cements this as the perfect accompaniment to another monster Stamina EP.

Stoker first came to our attention thanks to his underground anthem 'Sick & Tired' (available on our FINRG collab album Portal), before going on to hone his homegrown production skills with an epic remix of 'Ignition' on Stamina's landmark Sixty-Five EP. Here he has upped his game once again, simultaneously really nailing down what his sonic is all about, in the form of two beautifully bittersweet slices of serious freeform. So what is the Stoker sound? 'Extinction' steps up to answer that question first, laying down some trademark Stoker phenomena in part to its pensive chords, jaw-droppingly beautiful string & piano section, and quintessentially classic freeform main riff. 303s aplenty pepper the track, and the theme of acid spills over into the second offering on the EP, with 'True World' also donning more than a few squelchy resonant sequences. With a higher tempo and rougher, more underground approach, there's still a lot of Stoker signifiers to fix this firmly in the category of modern day freeform anthem, thanks to expertly keyed piano and strings, Nordic-styled twisted synth leads, and even more consummate freeform melodies. An epic addition to our catalogue for those who like their freeform classic, pure and anthemic; essential underground listening on your favourite Stamina Records imprint.

Transcend is of course no stranger to Stamina, helping to have shaped the label's output, direction - and signature sound - thanks in part to three seminal artist albums and countless EPs to boot. When a new Transcend EP drops there is always a buzz at Stamina HQ, and this latest record keeps with that tradition, whilst also marking a distinct step-up in artistic evolution, as we enter a near-zenith Transcend 3.0 stage. Intensifying all that makes his productions distinct, whilst stripping things back to the core fundamentals that represent his unmistakable unique sound, peak-Transcend has been unlocked, with a two-tracker that lands firmly in modern-day classic territory, instantly. Sporting production-values the highest we've ever seen from him (and we don't say that lightly!), 'Transcendance' is the first out the gate on the record, occupying the Yin-side and representing some of the absolute best uplifting freeform hardcore you will ever hear. Superbly executed by this master craftsman of the genre, the melodic brilliance is bold, the structure on-point for today's dancefloor generation, and the execution of euphoric excellent unmatched. Pure unadulterated, concentrated freeform brilliance. 'Butterfly Effect' follows up to seal the EP complete, oozing darker grittier tones, with its chaotic and eastern-influenced melodies underpinned by a relentless driving sonic. Acid flutters, snappy breakbeat fills and a galloping low end all contribute to the big moody atmosphere, which in contrast to the beautifully uplifting Yin-side sits firmly in underground freeform territory. A brilliantly balanced EP from one of the truest masters of the 'form. Not to be missed.

"Blood from the Sky is a dark freeform track of the sort that I wasn’t sure we’d ever see again – aggressive, atmospheric, and progressive. The opening half of the track is spectacular and even Re-form-esque at times with the voice samples and jittery snare rolls, but it’s post-drop where the leads get darker and more complex, and the track really takes off. The use of some samples from the FINRG Hard era is a nice nod to the history that flows through this tune, but there are plenty of modern production touches that make it an evolution in the best way. Absolutely superb work from Alek – if you’re looking for a preview then apparently there’s one on Facebook, but I’d recommend joining the FINRG discord if you haven’t already, where he added a full-length version last month."
