We're always excited to welcome new artists into the Stamina Records freeform fold, which is why when Obsys dropped these two demos through to us, we snapped them up straight away! Having already cut his freeform production skills on such prestigious labels such as ReBuild Music, Skeny Tracks, this promising production powerhouse has upped the energy for two massive club cuts destined to bring the Stamina vibes. 'Agony' is full on freeform rave - energetic and powerful bass, tight percussion, and an epic breakdown all leading to the pièce de résistance: an absolute KILLER main riff. The riff will have you reaching and the drop will finish you off - the energy levels are high in this one! Flipping it over for the Yang side and 'Escape' drops into trancier territory, evoking classic European freeform vibes thanks to its luscious musical content. Pianos, arpeggiated leads, big pads, all swathed in reverb for the ultimate in euphoric sounds, before a rolling bass and Obysys' trademark tight beats reign supreme on the drop. Stoker first came to our attention thanks to his underground anthem 'Sick & Tired' (available on our FINRG collab album Portal), before going on to hone his homegrown production skills with an epic remix of 'Ignition' on Stamina's landmark Sixty-Five EP. Here he has upped his game once again, simultaneously really nailing down what his sonic is all about, in the form of two beautifully bittersweet slices of serious freeform. So what is the Stoker sound? 'Extinction' steps up to answer that question first, laying down some trademark Stoker phenomena in part to its pensive chords, jaw-droppingly beautiful string & piano section, and quintessentially classic freeform main riff. 303s aplenty pepper the track, and the theme of acid spills over into the second offering on the EP, with 'True World' also donning more than a few squelchy resonant sequences. With a higher tempo and rougher, more underground approach, there's still a lot of Stoker signifiers to fix this firmly in the category of modern day freeform anthem, thanks to expertly keyed piano and strings, Nordic-styled twisted synth leads, and even more consummate freeform melodies. It's my birthday, so I wanted to give out one of my older tracks for free! It was released by ReBuild Music's, Ultimate Worldwide Freeform album in limited edition back in 2010. Track contains mystically-beautiful, deep main atmosphere and highly energic melody. 
I wasn't really satisfied with it's overall sound quality, so maybe a remake is coming in the near future...
