Everyone is an observer at some point in time. Everybody is watching, observing, researching something in own life.

Whether it is the old Hindu looking forward to the time when his body will be carried in a shroud to the last journey to the Ganges by the scent of flowers and then he has been liberated from the cycle of samsara, or when the cataphract is finally done with its struggle and freed from its armour somewhere in the midst of the steppes of Eurasia.

Whether it is the blind man who enters his inner garden of silence and explores there the images that none of the rest of us can see.

Whether it is the viewer who floats in a difficult to grasp triptych.

What is "there" behind that observation? Something modest, or something that changes our lives?

After more than two years Martin Kuška returns with his project Goodbye Mirage with a new EP "Turning Point Observer". A hypnotic dreamy-progressive five track and five remixes EP, in whose tracks you can constantly search for something new - the endless faith or doubt, the loneliness of days or the shining energy of social moments yet to come, body to body.

When you hear it on the dance floor, you can dance and smile, or dance and feel deep sentiment. It's up to you. The possibilities are endless as the vast ocean - let yourself go and become an observer of... who knows... perhaps a turning point in your life.

Premiere: Rejoicer - I Think This is Reasonable

This album started with a feeling — something raw, restless. The first track is breakcore, noisy, unstable. I sampled Bonehead from Funny Games and that De Niro monologue from Taxi Driver — the one where he talks about the rain washing the streets clean. That line stuck with me.

Then it drifts into trip-hop — slower, more fragile. Off-key synths, pads like wet fabric, and a girl’s voice quietly repeating so confused. It’s the kind of track you’d want playing while watching the rain hit your window.

After that, there’s a rave piece — sharp, bright, like dancing in the aftermath. The same voice returns, but clearer now, almost hopeful. The storm has passed.

One of the weirder tracks is built around Rosemary Brown — the woman who claimed composers visited her in dreams. I sampled her playing Chopin and layered it over heavy, broken drums. It came out eerie, but beautiful in a way I can’t fully explain.

The last track is called Heaven. I wrote it at a friend’s place — he’s not around anymore, but that night is. Piano in the corner, strings coming in slow, like something from far away. The track feels like a room filling with light — not quite happy, but weightless.

The album moves from confusion and noise to something softer. Not perfect peace, but something close. Just life — loud, broken, delicate.

Munich. 1994. A group buck current trends with a ground-breaking release. Tikitaka by Tamburá left aside the techno of the time to focus on a the lesser known styles of afrobeat and tribal music. The result was three tracks that sail and soar on a primal energy, three works that whisk listeners away to exotic lands of wooden wind instruments, ritualistic vocals and, even, bag pipe majesty. For twenty five years this record has been an unattainable mystery, until now that is. Kalahari Oyster Cult have lovingly restored all three of the trailblazing original tracks alongside two very special remixes. Melbourne’s Tornado Wallace adds new layers of intensity as he cuts and reshapes melodies and beats to set any floor alight with this visionary remake. Dazion offers a very different interpretation. Focusing on vocals, this new talent accentuates the shamanic-like chants of Tikitaka, using them as a base from which throbbing synth lines grow as new depths are explored. An EP every bit as daring in 2019 as it was in 1994.
