This mix is inspired by Van Gogh's letters to Theo during his time in Arles. Arles is such an inspiring place for me; it has truly become my favorite spot. While I was there, I read through his letters and could really feel his mix of intense creativity, personal struggles, and deep emotional highs and lows.

With this mix, I wanted to capture the hope and excitement he felt when he first arrived, inspired by the region's vibrant colors, which you can see reflected in his vivid paintings. Following his footsteps and emotions in Arles through music was incredibly inspiring.

I've woven pop, ambient, experimental, and organic elements with nature's own melodies to create a soothing and healing experience. It's the kind of music I'd play on a warm afternoon, when the sunlight turns the leaves golden.

An ambient-ambiance tape experience by two promising new acts from different sides of P-Earth.

With their self-titled debut last year on Total Stasis, CS + Kreme’s leftfield, ambient pop took us by surprise and turned out to become one of our favorite, rinsed home-records from 2016. With a handful of gigs so far exclusively in the open air of Melbourne, the duo, consisting of Conrad Standish and Samuel Karmel (also part of F Ingers), team up again for this release to jam together a bubbly, hypnotizing lullaby before venturing off into a warped dreamscape around the 10 minute mark. On the B-side Vancouver-via-Kaifeng resident Yu Su cleanses the body, mind, and soul with Little Forest. Smoke hung thick in the air as he glanced around the room. He occasionally caught the eyes of one or two who nodded their heads and began to move in time with the slow moving pace of the drums.

This was the part in which he'd slip in, insert into dub and forget the outside. It had been a long week after all, what with all the stress and grey clouds which lingered overhead.

It was hard to find peace in this life but for the occasional rumble of the bass and the drums. 

Pawel's Bar is a mysterious alias, a moniker for a producer some will know well. This new EP is forthcoming on OK Spirit, an eclectic mixture of spacious dubbed out electronics with a moody undertone. Highly recommended.
