Bernardo Barrera, one half of Los Fugazzi, but best known as Mufti, delivers two tracks full to the brim with guitar licks, analogue squelches, dark corners, creative juice and a generous dose of serotonin. The title track, 'Mess My Mind' is a dark foray into sound with a frankly unhinged vocal, which evokes sleaze, sex, narcosis and madness, while 'Rutina', although keeping the pace, uses overdriven distorted guitars and sinister synth sounds to create a mood all of its own. Propping up the originals with their own unique takes are Niv Ast and Middle Sky Boom, who will be joining the label for the first time. 
Niv Ast ramps up the kick drum and brings out the animal noises for 'Rutina' in a hypnotic reworking, while taking a vocal snippet from the original and turning it into a chant, giving the mix a slightly heavier punch to the brooding original mix.

Digital Rain Systems hail from Winnipeg and their music presents a perfect halfway point between the lounged-out house of Vancouver and the more ethereal beats bubbling up from Montreal. The project started as a way for Cole Woods and Jory Hasselmann, both members of the band Human Music , to explore their budding love for house, techno and ambient music. The result—simply titled "Vol 1." — sounds like a duo discovering decades' worth of electronic music all at once. They list Larry Heard, 808 State and Windham Hill Records as influences for a sound that skirts the edges of classic techno, dusty house, dub, electro and New Age music.

Those might be standard influences these days, but Digital Rain Systems put them together in a far from standard way. Woods and Hasselmann’s recording techniques stay true to their live music roots: recorded off-the-cuff in a single take straight to tape from a BOSS mixer. The songs are built around samples and fastened to heavy, bucking basslines and twinkly chords that come from their modest collection of hardware. It's a rough-and-tumble sound that recalls the early work by Canadian acts like D. Tiffany and Aquarian Foundation but is very much their own.

Take the plunge on this adventurous spread of audio. You’ll be glad you did!

No surprise that his productions have rapidly been appraised by top labels such as Nerang Recordings or Neoviolence.

As usual, his mix magically brings us in a mind-altering and hypnotic trip filled with nostalgia and intensity. On the 12th of April 1961, Yuri Gagarin was launched into orbit for the first and - so they tell us - the last time. Upon returning to Earth, Yuri became a global hero, travelling the world to tell of his adventure. Secretly, he was plagued by strange hallucinations and a persistent glow around his vision; a cornucopia of colour in a constant corona. At first fearing madness, the cosmonaut came to see these apparitions as a signal, an invitation, a welcoming beacon from a distant lighthouse blinking across the cosmic void. 

Taking inspiration from early Detroit techno culture, under the moniker Tony Neptune Leeds-based producer and artist Sam Jefferies is on a mission to tell a multi-sensory story through image, sound and text. A talented DJ and part of the Dimensions DJ Directory family, Sam has become synonymous with deep diving marathon sets both as Tony Neptune and as Yuri, solo or alongside fellow Leeds stalwart Mark 'Turbo' Turner.

After working hard on his production efforts over the last few years, his debut EP Reflections on a Daring Escape is finally seeing the light of day on Twelve Comets. Both sonically and aesthetically (Sam's visual work as a painter is at the core of the release), the 4-track release journeys deep into the cosmos, touching on the more celestial, emotive elements of electro and techno.
