I'll admit defeat, I'm too exposed
A damaged ego and a bloodied nose
A foolish word on which to hang
A noose and an unwanted man

CHORUS
But in the water I still feel there's a warmth inside
To self repair the wounded pride
Even though I want to hide
And whilst I stutter on words I know well but are tough to say
I just burn red and run away
I feel such a monstrosity
There's nothing here to see

Falling down, flailing limbs
Its easier to think when the light is dim
Trying hard but tactics wrong
Just smile and laugh along

Flutteringly,
Floating in the breeze,
A single butterfly.

 

Regarded as the father of contemporary haiku, Masaoka Shiki was a poet and literary critic during the Meiji period Japan.

He advocated realistic observation by “sketching” (shasei) poems and going out into nature with notebooks, thus abandoning the traditional subjects of haiku of the time. His advice for an aspiring poet was, “Use both imaginary pictures and real ones, but prefer the real ones.”

I love listening to & creating ambient, dark ambient, avant-garde & experimental electronica (and the occasional beatscape). I have no professional aspirations  - I just really like creating music / manipulating sounds. It's my way of relaxing after a hard day at the office. All my tracks are produced using monitoring headphones (Audix A140) so I recommend that you listen to my music through headphones. My DAW of choice is FL Studio. I also use Reason every now & then. 


To the artists I follow; I do my best to try to listen to as many of your tracks as possible each night (I listen to each track all the way through - you went through the effort to create a track so you deserve to have it heard in full). If I miss a recent upload of yours, please forgive me...
