ABOUT THE RELEASE

It has been seven years since the release of "Immortal Habits", the album that got Canadian electronic artist Liza Nicklin critical acclaim and a Fenty Beauty sync placement. She has finally decided to share her new material with the world. The album "Revel: Generative" will be released in September and "Generosity of Genius" is the first of two singles to announce it. It has Nicklin's trademark brand of deep house mixed with dub techno, intelligently spiced with uplifting memorable grooves.

Excomulgados es una poderosa canción que trata sobre el acto de ser excomulgado, un castigo espiritual que implica la expulsión de la comunidad religiosa. La canción denuncia a quienes, por sus acciones malvadas y crueles, han sido apartados de la iglesia y de la sociedad, enfrentando el juicio definitivo. El robo de un niño es el error que define su condena, mostrándolos como culpables y no como víctimas.

La excomulgación en esta canción es el símbolo máximo del rechazo por actos imperdonables. Con guitarras rápidas y letras directas, Excomulgados es una denuncia feroz contra la maldad humana, recordando que no hay redención para aquellos que destruyen la vida de los demás.

This was the audio used for my final MA project, as it was given as a live performance. I am planning to rework some of these tracks to work better as an album listen.

I love listening to & creating ambient, dark ambient, avant-garde & experimental electronica (and the occasional beatscape). I have no professional aspirations  - I just really like creating music / manipulating sounds. It's my way of relaxing after a hard day at the office. All my tracks are produced using monitoring headphones (Audix A140) so I recommend that you listen to my music through headphones. My DAW of choice is FL Studio. I also use Reason every now & then. 


To the artists I follow; I do my best to try to listen to as many of your tracks as possible each night (I listen to each track all the way through - you went through the effort to create a track so you deserve to have it heard in full). If I miss a recent upload of yours, please forgive me...
