Lucas J. Hatzisavas has several different aliases but as Reptant (@reptant_the_lizard) since 2017, he has really excelled. The Melbourne-based reptilian has spread his electro sounds far and wide on always classy labels from Kalahari Oyster Cult to Trust to Craigie Knowes. His acid-laced machine sounds are often jammed out live before being edited into tracks. They are imaginative, bristle with energy and feed into an alien lizard narrative he's built around the project, not least with his debut album Return To Planet X'trapolis.

This week we're invited to peer through a window into that otherworldly universe with 60+ minutes of kinetic rhythms and cinematic sound designs. All shades of electro come up from sleazy and ghetto to sci-fi and smooth. Plenty of acid lines weave their way throughout as Reptant slithers from dark corners of the cosmos to strobe-lit dance floors amongst the stars.

With a style deep, but somehow oozing with equal parts crunch and groove, Vlada is a master of blending her wide and eclectic old-school record collection into undulating journeys of bassy, hypnotic grooves, telling of her longstanding passion to the craft. 

The Russian born, but Berlin based mainstay balances touring with running mix series/party collective speLL in Berlin & beyond, with @vaahzer. One of my favourite parties in town :)

Very proud to announce the first ever instalment of our new Wormholes Mix Series featuring a live recording of the @annx-anna-whomp and @wednesday_dj set that closed proceedings at the party we threw with @escalator-to-nowhere in Bristol in May. These two hold a very special place in the hearts of UC ever since they played a transcendent b2b at our Amniothèque stage at Shambala festival last year. This time was no different. Locked together like two cogs they wheeled out a heady concoction of percussive prog and dark, hypnotic techno. This is a wormhole to get lost in.

space•cast 026 is a live set by Monophonik recorded at a space•lab x Androgyne party at the mighty Macadam in Nantes. People who were there still talk about this set and we thought it was well overdue to release it into the wild. 

Monophonik's modular live set is fast becoming one of the must-see things in this corner of electronic music - it's a jaw-dropping experience packed with groove, intensity and psychedelia.

“This was my favorite Backyard set. Everything clicked — the dancefloor energy, complete immersion in the moment, the emotional swings of the tracks. Quirky house, vintage trance, modern bangers, and tracks my subconscious dug up from the most unexpected playlists in the last half hour of the set,” the artist shared.

Before the Curfew is a series of music podcasts that emerged in 2022 after the reopening of the club following the liberation of the Kyiv region. All recordings presented in this series take place before midnight before the curfew begins. Before the Curfew offers a vibrant snapshot of the Ukrainian music scene amidst challenging times, celebrating resilience, creativity, and unity through music.

It serves as a multifunctional space for club events like ∄ Community Events, Curated By, Enareї, for experimental music concerts like Miasma of the Real and other cultural events.

∄ also manages the in-house music label Standard Deviation. Established in September 2020, Standard Deviation is a multidisciplinary label for music, art and publishing, cultivating creative exchange between an aspiring Ukrainian scene and a global community.

K41 is the community-born name of the institution embraced and widely used by the public.
