The beginning of the show echoes the beginning of the poem, with Dante in the woods and the first line of “The Divine Comedy” narrated over an eerie soundscape. Tension grows as a flute solo enters, while winds and percussion layer in, building to a massive dark and intense impact, as Dante approaches the gates of the underworld.

Inferno

The dragon appears as a creature of legend in almost every culture. Using incredibly thematic and intense original music, combined with “Taking Flight,” (based on music from the movie “How to Train Your Dragon,”) this show explores these myths and their meaning.

Taking Flight

Starts out with a slow, dynamically sensitive feel featuring an alto saxophone solo. The tempo moves to a slow tango featuring a small group with tenor saxophone lead, which develops through the full band. The song immediately takes off into a bright mambo feel, featuring high energy breaks, wind features and rhythm that is sure to get the crowd on their feet!

Nightlife Tango

“Home of the Brave” is a modern, drum corps style twist to the patriotic music we all know and love. This show is sure to give goosebumps to every member of the performing ensemble, and audience!
