"ayoooo, as I get back from work (cause when I'm not crafting dreams of securing the bag in my windowless room, I be cracking dem eggs in a kitchen lol) to speak my piece, I recall a moment yesterday while I was putting the final touches on this piece. 

There's a point where the whole thing has a breakdown in the middle of it, and real shit, ya boy shed a tear when I heard it drop.    

It's crazy cause like, while you're creating and in the actual process, things don't hit you but when you take a step back and realize what just transpired, that shit can hit something fierce. 

And man, it was a tear for so much. The joy for being around and recognizing the brothers I've come to love dearly during these last 4-5 years and even beyond that. The sorrow for the brothers that are literally trapped by what society places on the black man's masculinity that causes us to act out in self-destructive ways that hurt not just ourselves but the people around us we claim to love so much (e.g. the sistas that never get their fair due. We take the L for that.) The anger that the livelihood of black men still don't matter when it comes to the justice system...

...but I refuse to mourn. I refuse to relish in the dolor. Fuck. That. No more.

Instead. I celebrate. 
We celebrate. 

Show them the full joy that a black man can have when he no longer let's the"rules" that society puts on him for just living his life control him any longer. What he wear, who he love, how he act, how he is, etc. LIVE. 

Cause at the end of the day, we was born black, live black, and die black. So let's live in the joy of black. 

Show these little black boys that inside there's a light that shines so bright that the sun goes blind.
