🍂 This is the first song released after taking a 3-month break away from music. It resembles the feeling of the "in-between" - for me that's living a life between two countries (Netherlands & Australia). 
I also absolutely love the transitional period between seasons, especially summer to fall. Lastly, "Seasons" is a song that has lived on both FL Studio and Ableton, and helped me transitioning to a new platform, and is the first song I actually finished on Ableton. Yes, I know - that took me about 3 years 😅

I absolutely love this album, hope you enjoy too!

This time @stanforebee created a beat which suits the element fire and the ability to bend fire like in the TV series „Avatar: The Last Air Bender“ which is the theme of the compilation.

Hard hitting, vibey and as groovy as it can get, „Flames“ shows Stan Forebee’s immense producing skills and once again proves his status as one of the best beat makers on the lo-fi beat scene. Intricate tribal percussion, thick, viscous synths, deep immersive bass, bouncy drums - every instrument here serves the rhythm to create the ultimate head-nodding groove.

Directly inspired on leaving uninspiring lockdowns behind, I wrote this song in between Melbourne's lockdown #5 & #6 (yes we had that many) when I felt a bit lost on music while disconnected from nature - hence the title - and I tried to capture those feelings into this song. The waves ambience resembles longing back to my favourite nature beach strip, escaping the city walls. With this song I personally wanted to look back at the last couple years of weird world events as well as looking forward to a better future ahead. Hope it will inspire you to do wonderful things 🌻

"Sunrise On Southey Street" is based on a beautiful little place in Kensington (Melbourne), Australia. This street was located a bit above the other buildings in the area, just so the CBD skyline would be visible in the back, a few kilometers away. I used to live in this old, quirky house on the end of Southey Street. One cold morning, I woke up early around 5AM, went outside for a morning walk, and discovered this amazing sunrise over the city skyline of Melbourne, with the tall CBD buildings turning completely red / orange. I remember standing there for an hour, staring into the morning light.

I tried to capture that peaceful feeling with this piece of music.
