Flugen is a global fusion project by Maya Aghniadis created in 2015.

Spending a couple of years performing unreleased tracks and collaborating with several artists, Maya experimented with new sounds and instruments, from ethnic beats to heartwarming melodies until Flugen’s sound was established.

The first 6 track EP “Lost Banjo” was released in 2017 with the collaboration of French cellist Marie Caparros.
A year later, the LP “ Ondes “ was created adding more vocal harmonies and progressive melodies to flugen’s sound.

"To the Supreme Lord, whose form is the embodiment of eternal existence, knowledge, and bliss, whose shark-shaped earrings are swinging to and fro, who is beautifully shining in the divine realm of Gokula, who I (due to the offense of breaking the pot of yogurt that His mother was churning into butter and then stealing the butter that was kept hanging from a swing) is quickly running from the wooden grinding mortar in fear of mother Yasoda, but who has been caught from behind by her who ran after Him with greater speed--to that Supreme Lord, Sri Damodara, I offer my humble obeisances."

To this Supreme Lord, Sri Damodara, whose belly is bound not with ropes but with His mother's pure love, I offer my humble obeisances."

With great love I again offer my obeisances to Lord Damodara hundreds and hundreds of times."

"O Lord, although You are able to give all kinds of benedictions, I do not pray to You for the boon of impersonal liberation, nor the highest liberation of eternal life in Vaikuntha, nor any other boon (which may be obtained by executing the nine processes of bhakti). O Lord, I simply wish that this form of Yours as Bala Gopala in Vrndavana may ever be manifest in my heart, for what is the use to me of any other boon besides this?"

I only long for this and have no desire for any kind of liberation."

Tinariwen - Aldhechen Manin (Foxall Edit)

This is an edit of a song I heard for the first time while traveling in Morocco recently, when I close my eyes I can envision the massive bay in which I lived where the sand dunes reached out to the touch of the ocean, where the sunset always filled the sky with rich colours of deep orange to a dreamlike rose, and the stars always shone bright in the night stretching to infinity. "Je Pense A Toi" means "I'm thinking of you" in French, when I hear this song I think of this place and mystical energy the the land there holds, it transports me back to the ancient sacred lands of Africa.

The soundscape in the beginning of this edit was created by putting together recording that I made while in Morocco, the ambience of wind at sunrise near the ocean and the sound of light footsteps on dry argan seeds.

The original version of this song is from the album "Sou Ni Tilé" by Amadou et Mariam. Thank you for creating such beautiful music!
