“BASS DOWN, MASK UP- Breakbeat United Vol.18” is a 2.5hr mix featuring a 65 track journey through 2020 Breaks. This live, one-take recording is something I have been planning and working on since late last year and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. Packed with more BOOM & BASS than your dancing shoes can ever funk to, this is officially the longest mix in my signature Breakbeat United Series. My inspirado came from how much fun it was doing my 3 hour long “Quarantine Boom” Twitch shows during most of the 2020 pandemic. Those experiences made me realize how much I enjoy longer and deeper sets, but they only featured classic music from my back catalogue. Since all live shows were canceled because of Covid-19, I found myself with no creative outlet for my desire to play “NEW” Breaks released during 2020, so this project was born. “Bass Down. Mask Up” is a combination of that newfound love for the “long set” but with new music and my signature style of aggressive harmonic mixing. With an emphasis on the flow and vibe, this set is sure to delight the senses and please even the most fickle of Breakbeat fans! It’s also guaranteed to make any BBU vet giddy with BASS! Strap in for a ride you will not soon forget!

🍑Sfunk started with vinyl in 1999 playing for her own enjoyment. She hosted 2 shows on 90.3 WRST- Electronic Underground and Nocturnal Dimensions bringing in midwest djs while rave was under attack by the Rave Act. She took a break while being a badass roller derby player & official, moved to Detroit to join the circus but sadly tore her meniscus right before flying trapeze school. 
An abrupt relocation back to Wi in 2020 saw her entered the digital world. She jumped to Houston joining forces with Soul Bass Project & later HDC Houston Dj Collective. During that time still playing for herself and playing intimate house parties, sfunk went on to play her first party Barnyard Boogie #19 in Chicagoland in 2021 right to playing the historic Houston Silos for SDC's Where the Wild Things Are, to blessing the skyline views at Sunset in downtown Houston for TheCrew/BassMafia's SOLID monthly. Being a traveler and snowbird having the opportunity to play legendary barns in the Midwest, Sparnfunkel, Kompound, (((dB))), then smaller fest Halloween Dream Festival in IL, DJ Sun's own The Flat in Houston, Bauhaus Houston, As One & Cultivate at Electric Lounge Oshkosh, WI, Green Bay, Stevens Point, Milwaukee, Fox Lake & Chicago, IL, Mic Check's Planet OOO Fest from the main stage TreeHouse... 2024 Jungle Bells Closing Ceremony in Atlanta, GA, Opened for MPH at Bauhaus, Minneapolis MN Mechanix, Frolic Montrose Bach, Chicago IL.
