This set was such a special one to us both, Stone Techno took place near Essen in Germany in a beautiful Unesco site. 
On top of the decors being so breathtaking the energy of the crowd was totally unmatched!

NTS ~ GiGi FM B2B Altinbas At Stone Techno Festival 2024

Iraqi by blood/Oaklander by upbringing, Lolsnake is a Berlin-based visual artist and DJ whose fulminating sets have taken centre-stage at some of the city’s most vaunted hangouts. It was studying neuroscience that took them from California to the UK, and there that they first discovered a taste of the creative freedom that club culture could offer. In 2014 they made the switch to the German capital, where a chance opportunity to throw a party at makeshift Neukölln locale Internet Explorer kickstarted a spate of FLINTA-focused parties that eventually landed them regular gigs at Tresor’s proxy venue OHM. From there the scope grew and both spoken word/performance art series queeeirdos and the later iterations of dance-geared and Säule-based party programme Weeeirdos took flight. An assemblage of creative disciplines and artists from visual art to comedy to VTSS to Ellen Allien, Parrish Smith and Schacke, the format has been a breeding ground for ideas and sounds, first in Berlin and now farther afield in cities like Prague and Copenhagen. As for their own output as in-demand selector, it’s fiery, arrow quick techno, a coup de foudre from the heart that takes no prisoners, be that at De School, Blitz or Transcendence Seoul. Unsurprisingly there’s a music label in the works, and this next instalment to whet your appetite while you wait. Bassiani Podcast 223 is a heady three-hour mix recorded live at the club back in June. Galloping beats bent on worldwide acclaim, tenacious and razor-sharp techno from a singular and fast-rising musical talent.

For the 12th edition of our mix series we feature a mix from Copenhagen based artist Schacke.  

Schacke is half Danish half South Korean musician who has been producing and playing sounds of a large variety of different styles since their early teens.
As one of the original members of the Fast Forward collective and agency, Schacke has played a significant role in shaping and defining what has become known as the “Copenhagen Techno Sound”.
Schacke draws inspiration from a wide range of different genres, making genre-bending fusions using a mixture of unlikely sources. With the combination of hard-hitting beats and rolling baselines their mixes are always bound together with precise execution of delicately layered textures, making Schacke’s sound distinctly recognizable yet strangely unpredictable.
In 2022 Schacke launched the label Sacred Interface, focusing on high-quality techno and trance from the local scene.
