it's beautiful down here.

yes, the sand is getting in my hair. yes, my towel is soaking wet. yes, the seagulls are screeching. yes, i feel very cold. but it's more than that.

i feel calm. i feel ready. lying here, next to you, i feel like i can close my eyes and sleep forever, as we lie here, holding hands and forgetting our worries.

i wish i could always feel like this.

but we need to seize the moment, carpe diem or something... i'm not too sure. make the most of what we have. and i have you.

there's no need to think anymore. just to feel.

and i feel at peace.

it's been so long.

so many wasted years.

yet still, i can't forget you.

everytime i walk into the kitchen, i miss the smell of eggs and bacon as you were making me breakfast. everytime i walk into the bedroom, i miss seeing your clothes sprawled across the floor. you were such a messy person.

every single dying second i live in this world, i think of you. 

i try so hard to forget you.

but throwing away your presents won't make you disappear.

sometimes coffee helps me sleep.

those late nights where i can't help thinking about you. those late nights where even the strongest sleeping pills won't calm down my thoughts.

i drink. cup after cup, sliding down my throat, sliding away my thoughts. only the buzz can distract me.

only the buzz can stop me from thinking about you, thinking about your hair gently brushing against my face, thinking about you gently kissing me on the beach, as we look at the stars and laugh.

because as hard as i try, those memories will only be memories.

forever.

stars are such a beautiful creation....

we trust the stars with our secrets. we tell them our wishes. when we feel we are alone, we know the stars can comfort us. 

those bright white little balls of light.

we are so small compared to them. space is so big. we are so insignificant, a tiny speck floating in our universe.

floating away, like a grain of sand in the ocean.

there is no way we can take control of the reins. maybe we should just let it take us. let it float us away, like a grain of sand in the ocean. maybe we can be happy wherever we arrive.

but for now, we should not worry.

come lay down on the cold grass next to me. we can watch the little fields of stars, whizzing past us.
