This track was made with my dear friend Mike Rauss in a small hobbit studio in the Berlin shire. We love to get funky and tried our best to get minimal. Mike played the oud, guitar, and vocals and Captures handled the beats and soundscapes.

The lyrics are in Hebrew and are about getting together after not seeing each other for a long while and playing music and creating together.

La Palabra is the result of the encounter between two artists who share the ancestral roots of their ancestors, the indigenous peoples of South America.

CORAZONDELLOCO, influenced by the poetry of Arra Hué (daughter of the rivers and granddaughter of fire, descendant of the Charrua people), presents this new production that combines electronic music, poetry and the beauty of the sounds of nature, with atmospheres recorded in the field by the artist himself. The waters of the rivers and the symphony of birdsong guide the voice and poetry of Arra Hué, which is narrated in two languages: Chaná (the native language of the indigenous people of the same name, who inhabited the confluence of the Negro and Uruguay rivers in Uruguay, as well as the islands of the Paraná delta in Argentina) and Spanish, the language of the colonizers of these regions.

The poem “Uví Isipó” (Blood Roots) that introduces La Palabra, deals with the importance of keeping alive the memory and struggles of one’s ancestors. The second poem, “El Espíritu” (The Spirit), is born from the awareness that, despite the silences, secrets, and violence experienced by the Charrua and Chaná peoples in various attempts at “extermination” throughout their history, something remained alive, whether in the culture or in the blood of their descendants. Both poems complement each other and construct the narrative of “La Palabra,” the new single by Arra Hué and CORAZONDELLOCO.

A portion of our live set as we began to warm up for another 2 hours of flight.
As always, thank you for lending us your precious ears.

Indeed, many great performances have been recorded, and we are glad to have them. But I think the greatest performances always elude, the camera, the tape recorder, the pen. They happen in the middle of the night when the musician plays for one special friend under the moonlight, they happen in the dress rehearsal just before the play opens. The fact that improvisation vanishes makes us appreciate that every moment of life is unique - a kiss, a sunset, a dance , a joke. None will ever recur in quite the same way.
