This was written about intense political diversion and splits between people. The days of unification and discussion are over as people get progressively more divided and angrier to opposition. It’s almost as if it’s more beneficial to limit yourself and censor what you say and expressing your thoughts and feelings. While I disagree to that stance, it is for a time how I did completely feel and would bottle up my own thoughts and ideas to others in fear of hurting them.

Quiet Disagreement

This is without a doubt the happiest or most optimistic of the project. This song is the light at the end of the tunnel for anyone dealing with any pressing issues or ongoing negative headspaces. This was written when I was in a much better place and thankful that life got better. Never give up waiting for life to get better, it’s filled with ups and downs, and the downs do not last forever. Everything will be ok.

In My Darkest Of Days

The fictional character of a female singer in a band who committed suicide is about how those that are gone and were loved like the singer will be remembered in our hearts and thee devastation by the loss will only burn more even when any signs of suicidal depression were not clearly present. Suicide is never the answer.

Goodbye Singer

This song is about jealous feelings of when it was like to be single for a long period of time and hate the idea of seeing others happy when I myself thought of myself as a great person and had a lot to give.

Where Is Will

This song was written the same day as a breakup. It is a fresh dump of feelings and an assassination to any future ideas of what could have been if it worked.

Alone Again

The title track of the project is the culmination of the direction for this project. This song is about having a fixed, pessimistic attitude towards life and living in a tragedy. It is about dealing with depressing thoughts, anxious thoughts, lonely thoughts, and nihilistic thoughts.

Virus

The analogy of a soldier coming back from military service and war, forever changed by their time spent in service and a witness to atrocities of humanity relates to being afraid of the world, and forever dealing with damage from PTSD. Being attacked by horrible knowledge, or a collection of anxious thoughts was the direction this song was taken in.

Knowledge Is Death

The idea of this song was to make something sound so vast and isolating feeling of loneliness. The analogy used in this study is being a spice trader through the empty, desert-like mountains of Idaho, endlessly wandering the land in search of a better, more fulfilling purpose. The traveler seeks this sense of belonging with heavy doubt about being able to accomplish this purpose on their own merit. This ties into real world doubts and struggles to motivate and excite oneself in accomplishing their life’s goals, potentially on their own for a long time.

Idaho Hills At Night

This song is an environmental message to advocate for the seizing of burning of fossil fuels contributing to global climate change and preservation of this beautiful world we all live in.

Gas In The Ground

This song was written on Valentine’s day in 2018. I was alone in my dorm room on that day, and I wrote the song to help cheer me up and stay hopeful that I would one day find a partner to love and share my life with, despite my very lonely feelings. This song was written for that future partner.
